Ruff & Ready is a tasty mix of meat, cooked peas, cereal flakes and crunchy biscuits coated with glucose syrup. This adds a natural aroma and a pleasant texture to the food that your pet will love. Product features: A high level of proteins contained in fish meal for a shiny coat. A full range of vitamins, minerals and nutrients to keep your dog in shape all day long. Ruff & Ready kibble can be administered directly or soaked in warm water for a more tender and tasty meal! Ingredients: Protein balls containing beef meat flour, wheat glucose syrup, cooked corn kernels, extruded whole wheat biscuits, cooked peas, cooked wheat flakes, soy oil, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Review: All of our 6 dogs love it.I add a small amount of tinned dog food aswell the moisten the ruff and ready. It can be fed to your dog dry but you must ensure that your dog drinks extra water to avoid constipation.Ruff and ready comes in small compacted pieces and is a complete dog food.My dog is around 44kg and I feed him one and a half tins (600g) using a regular 400g size metal tin.On average one sack of ruff and ready will last a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks. If you subscribe to desertcart you can get a sack for around £15.46 otherwise it costs approximately £18.00.Unlike other complete dry foods there is only a slight odour from the food and I store the sack in a 60 litre bin to keep it fresh.Clean up after the dog has processed the food is better also and it has never upset his digestive system and keeps him satisfied as he usually goes to sleep straight after feeding.Gives my dog a lovely glossy coat and is good for his teeth as he has something hard to bite on when eating Rough and Ready thus protecting his teeth in the long run where soft foods dont !All in all a excellent quality food and nothing gets left, all balanced with vitamins and minerals that your dog will need.Best dry dog food we have tried to date. Review: I started using this after a recommendation from the kennels where our dog spends his holiday. Having used more expensive brands in the past with mixed results I thought that the amount of people who have said Skinners, despite the excellent value, was a quality product we should try it. We have a Labrador retriever, he will eat anything however the gusto with which he tackles his dinner is a definite paws up from him. The food looks more varied than the usual uniform kibble pieces and adding a little water creates a gravy for any dog who needs perhaps a little more encouragement in eating (not the case with our boy.) I take a little bag for treats on our walks which he enjoys greatly. Being able to buy this by subscription is a handy time-saver taking one more job off the list as the heavy bags get delivered direct. Although an option to make it every 6 weeks would be handier!

Been using this dog food for 25+ years, all my dogs have loved the food, they move onto after coming off puppy food very easily and still eating it even when they are 18-19 years old, highly recommend

Always good quality dog food, however the skinners field & trial is the same product pretty much and £5 cheaper for 15KG bag … so I’d recommend that one over this only due to £££.

I bought this on the back of the good reviews, but was very skeptical that my very fussy vizsla would eat it. The first bowl she ate straight away which is unheard of. Over the course of a week she has eaten most of her ruff and ready meals. The different size kibble seems to help her appetite. As for the other end "results", she seemed a bit bunged up when first started on the food but that quickly settled down. Over the years we've tried Hills, Royal Canin and many other premium and also more reasonably priced brands. Royal canin stood out as a good food but is too pricey. She liked Hi Life but i'm a bit dubious about it's quality. I'll be buying ruff and ready again - it seems a very good value, highly palatable, medium/good quality food.
