Kill's what it's supposed to kill.
I've gone through quite a few of these 2.5 gallon containers over the years. My primary use was on a 70 acre forest land in the Pacific Northwest where Blackberries grow and spread like wildfire. Between the open areas, and the roadways leading into the property, I would generally spray between 300 and 500 gallos of the stuff each year. Garlon has been the most effective thing I have found to control Blackberries, and it does a decent job on other "woody" vegitation as well. Wherever I used Garlon, it usually takes a few years before the vegitation comes back. I recently got tired of the NW rain so I sold the farm and moved to the NW desert of Arizona. I havent come across many folks who use herbicides here to get advice, and the Roundup & 2,4-D seems to have minimal effect on the stuff I'm finding here. Just picked up a jug of Garlon to see if it works on the "woody" stuff here as good as it did up north. I have enough confidence will to spend $250 to find out!One reviewer mentioned that they had used Garlon with poor results for controlling weeds along their roadway, and I can understand why it didnt work for them - wrong product. For me, I found using a blend of Roundup (glyphosate) and 2,4-D @ 1.5oz to 2oz of each per gallon of water in a spot sprayer does the trick for grasses and weeds.

not as good as other products I have used
It takes a couple of applications to know how strong some of these herbicides are. The last thing I want to do is use too strong a mix, but I also don’t want to use to light a mix either.I am a especially frustrated using this on my gravel driveway. The first time I sprayed the driveway it had not rained for 3 weeks - i thought this was the ideal time to spray. It did okay but several areas still lived. After 3 applications (and I use a blue dye to make sure I don’t miss areas) the weeds are still present - far less than when I started but this is definitely not as potent as some herbicides I have used. I have a gallon and will keep working with it, but I probably won’t buy this product again.
