In summer, I spray this on my hair and it smells divine and also gets my hair curly after a swim!

I have naturally really wavy and somewhat curly hair that goes completely berserk in the humidity, the wind, at the beach, and at the pool. Since these are not only the main places and conditions that give me frizzy or uncontrollable hair, but also my favorite places to be, I buy a lot of hair products in an effort to keep my hair from looking like a complete mess. I don't necessarily want to change what my hair looks like naturally, so I purchased this Awapuhi Wild Ginger spray and it REALLY helps me to look my best! The wild ginger scent is delightful, and the spray not only controls my frizz, but it keeps my curls and waves looking more uniform and defined. I was surprised at how long it lasted throughout the day, as well as how it does not have the greasy, flattening effect of some other hair oils and creams. As a word of caution, it's better to spray in a small amount and use your fingers or a brush to disperse the product through your hair instead of just spraying like a maniac. This way you will avoid emptying the bottle too quickly as well as not having too much build up on your hair. Highly recommended!

This really is a great product! I'm not usually a Paul Mitchell user myself, but this product puts its competitors to shame. I've used several surf/sea sprays in the past (Bumble & Bumble, KMS, Blow, etc) and Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray is hands down the best out there right now. The main issue I've found with other sea/surf sprays is that the high salt content strips the moisture from your hair, which I can't help but feel is counterproductive. I want my hair to LOOK like I came from the beach, not FEEL like I spent 3 days in the salty sea. I have wavy hair, straightens easily, curls easily, and this product has enough hold to keep waves but won't make your hair feel dry, crunchy, or disgusting. I have a lot of fine hair, meaning its not thick, but there is a lot of it! This product is also very light weight which can be difficult to find in a curl or even some texturizing products. I use this in conjunction with Paul Mitchell's clipless wand (hot iron). This product is versatile enough to put in your hair when its wet and forget about it, lightly mist over your hair after you've curled it, or refresh your hair throughout the day. The smell is not amazing and initially, I didn't know I felt about it. I've since grown to like it and thankfully it blends well with other contrasting products (i.e. Morrocan Oil).

Smells great and does with it says it’s supposed too. Not fond of the crunchy feeling but if I scrunch it after dry it makes it softer. Worth it

I don't usually write reviews but this spray is what I've been wishing to have for years! All the other products I tried made my hair too greasy, too crunchy or just did not help my hair do what I wanted it to do. I have long and fine hair and it's wavy. If I don't blow dry it straight and just let it air dry, it becomes very frizzy and looks like a big mess. When I spray this all over my wet, combed hair and scrunch it a little bit with my hands and let it air dry, I end up with beach waves and pretty ringlets in my hair. I spray it liberally. It doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy or stiff. The more liberally I spray, the better the waves and the less the frizz. This really works my hair. Actually both me and my teenage daughter use it (we have slightly different hair types) and we both love what it does to our hair. I wish I had this product a long time ago. Now i can wear my hair naturally without it looking like a frizz mess. No need to blow dry or straighten unless I want to. This product is saving me so much time.

I love this sea salts spray can be sprayed on wet or dry hair. It gives your styles a lasting hold without being sticky or way down. It will bring your hair back to life and keep it through high humidity and even rain. Is it scrunches back up if it gets wet and it’s adorable. I use it on Straight hair and curly hair.

I have received wonderful complements on how beautiful my hair looks since I began using the product. It's an amazing transformation. I have long layered thick hair which has a soft wave to it naturally but does frizz in humidity. I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty the waves appear. I haven't had that many positive comments on my hair in a long time. Highly recommend.

This is a really nice product which gives it texture to the hair so you can get a nice style.

Love this product! Creates small, defined, soft curls that last for days. I cover my wet hair with a generous amount and blow my hair dry while scrunching--but not completely dry--I leave it a bit damp. Sometimes, I put jaw hair clips into my hair to further curl, only leaving the clips in for a few minutes or so. The next day, a bit of water spritzed onto hair with scrunching revives my curls. Very quick and easy. When I use too much, there is a little crunchiness, but not extreme. My hair is naturally thick and wavy and curls easily, but can also be straightened easily. I especially love how this product creates natural looking curls and has enough hold without being too sticky, so that no other product is needed--ie hairspray--to hold the curls.
