I like having the option to slow it down or adjust ...
This is my second charger of this type. I've been using an old car battery with this one. Runs for a few weeks on a charge. Use it with 4 or five rolls of polynet and polyrope. I usually have a lot of weed contact and only use a 2-1/2 ft ground rod. The goats and sheep respect it. I like having the option to slow it down or adjust if I'm using a solar panel.

Snow will not damage this unit
This product works better than others I have tried. Others simply quit working if there is a short due to snow or wet leaves shorting the wires. This unit keeps pumping out the power but you will hear a noticeable "pop" where the short is. In an extreme case where there is a direct short, it will not damage the unit. This is due to the fact that the power is not constant but rather pulsed at intervals set by the user. My fence is set low to the ground to keep the skunks and woodchucks away...and this works perfectly for this application! Once a squirrel got near it and when he got shocked, he flew off the fence about five feet and ran away. So, it is safe for small critters.

Works Well 2-Years and Counting
Works great. Been in use for over two years, many moves across the pastures. Installed inside a weatherproof box with battery and solar panel. Does the job well. Don't touch the fence!

Must have for beeyard
Best thing we ever did was buy these for our beeyards. Great product, saves us time, keeps the critters out.

Keeps the critters out!
Using it on our chicken run, mostly to keep the dogs and critters out cause the chickens are free to roam anytime & we don't close the coop up at night. The dogs love to eat their poop and their food (yuck!) so this way we now have a great composter going free of pillaging dogs, no poop issues close to the house or anywhere the dogs can roam, and safe chickens. Hoping that's the case on the latter, but it's been a couple weeks and so far so good. I know it works, the dogs have attempted to break in and came yelping & screaming back to the house lol!
