I purchased this axe for 2 reasons. 1. Same day delivery 2. Warranty I was removing a tree root that damaged some irrigation pipes and needed a smaller axe. It worked well. Good weight. Good size. Sharp enough. That tree root didn't have a chance. I noticed the Warranty information and looked into it. They provide an email address and phone number. Searching up Inter Tool showed an Oregon address so it seems legit. I was just curious after reading other reviews. Mine was fairly sharp so I haven't had to sharpened it. My perspective is part of owning an axe is knowing how to sharpen it. It doesn't matter if you have to sharpen it immediately or after you use it. Don't let a review saying it wasn't sharp stop you from buying it. It's carbon steel and has a protective coating. Take care of it and it should last. It worked well for me. I think it is a good axe for the price.

I goofed and ordered two. But when they arrived I was glad to have one to keep. Well weighted and looks to be a handy tool on the campsite or around the woods. Should be useful cleaning up the yard too.

Good axe but the factory sharpening is a bit rough. The weight is good and the handle feels good with its shock absorbing feature. The length is good if you swing an axe but back to the factory edge-not the best. I reground mine since it didnt split stuff as good as my 40 yr old axe -rip. Splitting wood, doesnt matter what kind of axe you have unless youre swinging a 20 pounder and weight 250 plus, dry the wood out some, greeen wood splits like crap. I use mine for felling and with the thinner edge, i can drop a tree in no time with nice chips flying

Awesome hatchet especially for the price. Very sharp very sturdy. Seems indestructible and should be under normal use. Also got the 36 inch axe splitter on order. Can’t wait to bust up some firewood with that!

Great ax! Good weight and super sharp out of the box. Has a nice blade cover that snaps on when not in use. The handle is the right diameter and fits my hand well. Happy so far but it wore me out and made me realize that I an not in the shape I used to be 40 years ago
