Must break in motor before you start
It’s a really great motor never had any problems with it. I changed my rustler from a 2.5 to this motor and has a lot more power. I recommend getting love the Traxxas brand.

Traxxas motor excellent .
It traxxas products , highly recommend it. If you take care of it . It will last for a very long time. If you do not modify it and it break down. Traxxas easy exchange for trade in and you some money, for a new motor. You can rebuild the motor .

HUGE HUGE HUGE improvement over the 2.5 it replaced. This is going into my Rustler. Only other upgrade I did was MIP CVD, other wise drop in replacement. YOU NEED A WHEELIE BAR or your car will flip from the torque.

Traxxas 5407 3.3 TRX Engine, IPS Shaft with Pull Start. Great engine and a dirrect drop in replacement for the 2.5R. Ran like a champ durring entire break-in cycle. Rock solid engine

Great product but engine had to broken capscrews that secures the head.
The engine is great. Great power and easy to tune so far. I only ran 5 tanks through it so far. The problem I had though was at initial startup. Firstly it was turning over and it started sputtering but fuel was coming out in between the head and cylinder. Upon further inspection, 2 HEAD BOLTS were broken. I had to remove the head and replace the broken cap screws with 2 from my 2.5R motor. Luckily I had the old motor and the tooling to perform this or I would have been stuck sending this motor back. I'm sure this is a rare issue but I felt like it needed to be told. After I fixed that it wouldn't start and I noticed a leak around the glow plug. After I removed it I noticed the gasket was installed backwards. New glow plug and new gasket installed and it fired right up.

Crazy power band and easy to tune
Awesom enengine. Crazy power band and easy to tune. Gallon through it and it's just getting broke in.
