Very detailed and informative
This book has everything you need to know to design and build your own system. Everything is included, from design basics to detailed information regarding electronic options for automating your system. My system was designed and built by the author. Greatest investment I have made for my mountain home. Thanks, Dan!

Wait! Stop! This is about potable water.
Wait! Stop! Don’t do what I did. I didn’t read the description and bought this book. It’s a great book. But, it’s not for beginners. I was looking for a basic entry level book and bought this. Oops. This is very detailed and written specifically for people using rainwater as drinking water. It does NOT cover the basics of rainwater harvesting for non-potable use- ie for gardening. So if you already know the basics and have read several other rainwater harvesting books AND you want to use this water for drinking purposes. And this is your only or primary source of drinking water, THEN this might be the book for you. Next time I’ll read the description work you’re fully.

Helpful book on rain water for drinking
This is a very helpful book. People who want to live where no public water supply serves the area really need this book. The author could have done a better job of telling the reader about where to purchase things you need to build a system that provides good drinking water

Genius !
This is a "next level thinking" kind of book.. in every way..just brilliant engineering.. took me a couple of reads.. to fully get it...but ..even if you don't plan on using your rainwater for potable use you should read this.. you can skip the chapters devoted to electronics and some of the programming information..but it's a MUST read in my opinion for anyone that even has aspirations to use "found" water...thanks to Dan for sharing his philosophy as well ...really enjoyed what he had to say..not sure I agree..but keeping an open mind.
