Works well on G10
I used this on some natural/jade colored G10 handle scales that I had dyed using Rit All Purpose Synthetic Dye, and I was pleasantly surprised by the result. The scales had dyed darker than I'd wanted so I would have been satisfied if this powder had simply lightened the color, but it actually removed almost every trace and restored them to nearly their original state. The only color that didn't come out was a small area around the hole where the pivot screw seats, and I think this was because the pivot had scored the epoxy of the G10, which allowed the dye to slightly seep in between the layers of fiberglass. In any case, the leftover color was barely visible. I can't speak to how well this works on fabric, but if your knife scales dye project didn't turn out the way you'd hoped, this stuff will effectively erase the mistake and let you try it again.

Looks more white than when they were new!
AHHHHHHMAZING! Washed a red sweatshirt with white team specific (just can’t order more) softball pants. They were a horrible shade of pink (team colors are red, blue, and white so pink clashed). This stuff is MAGIC! Came right out like it never happened 10/10 recommend!

Easy but a little messy.
Easy to use. Color stays true.

Works very well!
Works very well, just make sure that the items you are color removing is just a white clothing item, not a white clothing item that has another color. It will strip the other color unless that is your intended purpose, one box is great for a small hand of garments.

Unintended benefit
I was using this to remove stains as a last resort. That didn’t work but was a hack and not the advertised use of this product. However it did prep the crème jeans for dying. Which was my ultimate plan if I couldn’t remove the stain or spot dye the affected areas.

This Rit was the pits.
Not good. Actually, really bad. I got a promotional T-shirt from my employer with only one issue: it was white. I don't do white. And I'd likely be expected to show up in this thing at some company event or another. Conundrum! Fortunately, an aversion to light hues plus years of experience in costuming has made me very comfortable with dyeing all sorts of things. These shirts are also given out to employees in different hues at different times, so a change in base color seemed like a good solution (no pun intended). I've used various brands of dye over the years, but this was my first foray into Rit. 100% cotton. Jen, I said to myself, this'll be easy-peasy. First off: this dye arrived in a ziploc kinda envelope with a crushed carton and leaked powder. Guess I should've realized then and there that I was on a doomed mission, but I forged ahead. I mean, there is NO WAY I am going to wear this white t-shirt, right? Right. Plus, I try to be an optimist. Also: am I the only one who detests those directions that are printed on the inside of the box? It was especially tough here, since the serious powder spillage meant I had no idea what I'd find inside that box. I followed directions to a T (no pun intended). I used the stove top method in my earmarked I'm-dyein'-stuff stockpot. Used a thermometer and everything. Salt, the whole nine yards. The dreaded white shirt is now a mottled, stained-looking yellow. Which, somehow, is particularly unsavory - if you were looking to wear an article of clothing with varying, spotchy shades of one color, well, yellow ain't it. We've got everything from the delicate tinge of nicotine stain to the school bus yellow I intended to a shade I could call serious dehydration indicator. I don't know what went wrong, and I am not sure how to salvage the situation, since the "marbled" (to put it kindly) effect is pretty drastic. My advice: proceed with the caution that this shade of yellow would indicate! This could be user error ... but I really don't think so. I have never had an issue like this before.

I had stained my white sweater with coffee I couldn’t get out. So I bought this to dye my favourite sweater a darker colour. The other crop shirt had deodorant stains I also couldn’t get out. Dyed them both in my kitchen sink overnight.

This worked so well and revived a towel which had bleach stains on it. It didn’t stain my washing machine and didn’t stain the floor when I accidentally spilt it! Only thing to note is to not put it in the washing machine with light clothes/towels. It stained my white towels to a grey colour when washed with this towel.
