Inspiring and Timely
Tim ALWAYS does an amazing job of researching and soul searching to give an accurate and heartfelt account of events. This book was amazing. Loved the added videos. He has an amazing ability to take you on his journeys with him and show us insights we would otherwise miss."John Howland was a Pilgrim, one of the originals who came over on the Mayflower. He was single, in his twenties, and still figuring things out as he went to an unknown and dangerous land where there were few prospects for marriage, family or social progression, things men his age tend to desire and seek. With no guarantee that he would ever return, what was he thinking? For that matter, what were any of them thinking? Whatever they were thinking, I know they were special. There were only 102 who came over on that ship, so they were few in number - a special group. A chosen group." - Timothy Ballard

Great book, interesting deductions.
This book has been great, loved the stories, heraldry, and the connections to some of our own family and religious histories. This has helped us understand why there were 13 colonies, why we have the U S seal on the $1.00 bill, and many other things. Loved it. We are headed to Plymouth next month to check these things out.

The Promised Land of America and Its Founding Covenant People
Extremely well-written and thoroughly researched, Tim Ballard successfully articulates the Hand of God in the discovery, founding and acquiring the land promised to Joseph of Egypt through his blessing by his father Jacob who was renamed Israel, "one who prevails with the Lord". Mr Ballard's approach is based on the written records of those that were instrumental in each phase of defining what is now the United States of America. Incorporating historical records by those founders and blending each with ancient and modern scripture as espoused by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a clear theme is unfolded: America is a choice land and a covenant to honor God by keeping His commandments is upon it. Mr. Ballard's personal experiences by visiting those pivotal lands and places provides first-hand knowledge of their historical importance. Embedded within the bool are QR codes that can be scanned to open videos expanding on the text and providing an uplifting visual and auditory experience. I highly recommend this book to all faiths as it substantiates that the Christian and Jewish religions are the bedrocks to those who discovered and founded this great nation.

So worth the read
This book is way better than I had expected. I’ve never been one to dive into history but the way Tim writes is intriguing! My understanding has been opened and I cannot wait to read his other books. This has grown my testimony and love for our Savior Jesus Christ and in the Book of Mormon. Even if you are not of faith this book and the history in it will inspire you to read more. Great job Tim!
