Good buy to add to tool chest

I'm an electrician, so I'm using these for hours a day every day. You can take a new one of these, screw a phillips into a ceiling joist, then let go of the drill and the drill will hang upside down from the screw. That's how precise and perfect these are.Never buy any other kind of phillips bit, these are the GOAT.

Hard-to-find the less-frequently used Phillips #3 bit; great to find it in a Makita bit. Works great for the occasionally-used large Phillips screws, example #14 size screws.

Longer makes it easier to hold screws while pre starting

Solidly made bit that works perfectly with my drill. They are long enough that I don't need to use any type of extension. I use them all the time.

The old, supposedly discontinued, JIS has been superseded by an ISO spec that works great on all Asian products. If you're working on electronics you'll find PH2 screws (JIS like) recessed in holes that won't allow a normal bit to reach them because the hole diameter is too small. This bit is great for getting to screws recessed up to 1.5" below the surface. All you need to do is grind down the tip diameter to about 5mm. It's very easy to do. Hold the bit in a drill's chuck and while rotating the bit, hold it against a grinding wheel to reduce its diameter (see photo). Work slowly, this tough steel gets warm quickly. The fit on these is fantastic, almost like they're glued to the screw head.

Just needed an in between size of driver bit. Sometimes, 2 inches is just too short. Sometimes, 6 inch extension is just too long. But this... This 3 inches of pure power is just right.

Does what it's supposed to do. Can't ask for more than that. Can't rate durability or longevity, but it appears to be a high quality item.

Decent deal I guess. So far I haven’t broken one yet. See how long that lasts.
