Food Grade Mold Inhibitor (Powdered Calcium Propionate) (10LBS)

It did not come in the bag as shown it came in 2 clear plastic bags with no information on it only a small label that said "powder calcium propionate". I did not return it cause I needed to use it. However, when I used it my product got mold in 4 days. My product usually gets mold in 4 days without it. I believe they did not send a good product. No good very upset.

Going by the FDA guidelines (between 0.1 and 0.5 percent of total dough weight) we've had zero problems with mold on our products, and the shelf life has been extended. This has allowed my wife and I to bake a bit of a back stock of bread to sell at our local farmer's market, and people have been very happy with the products we sell. The 2 pound bag has lasted a LONG time as well since we need to use so little (about a quarter teaspoon for an 8 inch loaf of bread, or about a gram). Just mix it in with the rest of your dry ingredients and it works wonderfully. I will certainly be purchasing again!

No instructions, just a bag of bead like grain. I don't know how much to add to my recipe or should I dilute with water???

I added 1g to my normal recipe and it didn't rise. I tried again with the same result. Who knows what this stuff is?

I ordered this before from this company. It came in a different sack (much nicer) and was powdered not tiny crystals like the new stuff. Don't like it.

I am using this product for making Drosophila (fruit fly) media. It seems to work well, especially in combination with methylparaben. The seller shipped promptly; thanks for a great transaction.
