This is a really well made, durable, cable and its flat profile and thick insulation makes it ideal for running under a floor. The sound through my surround sound speakers is great so all in all this is excellent value for money. One thing to take into consideration is that being a larger AWG, it can be tricky to connect into speaker posts and clamps.

Used on my old technics hifi. Brings the sound out like never before, very think cable has a red line down one side so easy to see the right and left for connection

Good value for money and improved the sound

just re-wired my surround sound speakers, after replacing my AV Receiver, and I am amazed at the quality of this cable, thicker copper stranded cable but not as bulky as my previous cable i was using, meaning it was easier to hide via the cable conduit i had already installed in my man Cave. I also liked the simple and very easy to see red line on one of the cables to ease the task of getting the correct cable to the correct terminal ( + & - ) I would definitely highly recommend this cable, and if needed would buy again. just when i thought things could not get any better, I managed to get this on a lightening deal at £23.99 for 100ft.

Great quality wire. Quite thick! So was tricky feeding around a car. But this was totally the right choice for me. The pictures are of one of my car doors where you can see the wire running around. And the other is the runs to the amp (with a couple more wires) They feel highly durable and easy to crimp connectors on!

I love the square profile of the speaker wire, it makes cable management around my home a lot easier as I can just use double sided tape to stick it down and it sit flush to my floor board. The Clear cable is a bit rigid so if you are trying to fit it through small openings and sharp turn it will take some effort. I find it bend a lot easier if you gently heat it a little, I found that out when I try to put some heat shrink on. My gauge measure 1.7mm when twisted so 14 gauge is correct, colour of the end cuts is copper gold which to me is always a good sign. In terms of it performance ..... Wire is wire and if it is for 8 oms speakers I doubt human can hear the difference between any 1.7mm copper wires. I save that for the super human hearing who can tell if it is a £100 cable or not. For another review I read on this product, if it cuts out then either there is a break in the cable or your amp is faulty, get a multi meter and measure the resistance from end to end. I'm using this both with my vintage amplifiers and also with my surround sound TV system and speakers. Quality is good and the length you get on the reel is very handy. Much easier as it comes on a reel compared with buying it loose. There is not a great deal else I can say about it other than this feels the right balance of quality and value for money. You can spend a small fortune on AV cables but I think much of the time that is snake oil. This, however, is perfect for my needs and the sound quality I am getting across all of my AV equipment that is using it is very good indeed. No complaints.

Es un producto caro, pero de excelente calidad. Los cables más baratos presentan problemas con el aislante cuando se separan los dos cables, porque el aislante tiende a quedarse en uno de ellos dejando el otro parcialmente al aire con los problemas que eso puede acarrear. Con éste cable eso no ocurre y el aislante además, es bastante robusto.

Ich habe das 14AWG Kabel zum testen bekommen. Das Kabel kommt auf einer Rolle und ist knapp 30,5m (100FT) lang. Ich habe es nicht nachgemessen aber grob haut das hin. In der Überschrifft steht 30,5cm, das ist natürlich falsch. Das Kabel wirkt sehr hochwertig, Wiederstand ist wie man es von einem OFC Kabel erwartet, auch ist es weich und Flexibel. Sogar sehr Flexibel durch die sehr feinen Litzen. Im gegensatz zu anderen Rezensionen halte ich OFC für sehr wichtig, besonders bei Verlegekabeln mit feinen Litzen! OFC bedeutet, dass es ein Kupferkabel ist. Nahezu alle Kabel ohne OFC sind Alukabel mit Kupfermantel. Abgesehenvom erhöhten Wiederstand (halte ich im Hifi Bereich auch für nicht hörbar) bricht Alumium verhältnismäßig laut. Und am Ende sucht man den Kabelbruch. Deshalb Immer OFC! Die Ummantelung ist relativ dick und viereckig ausgeführt. Ich finde diese viereckige ummantelung sehr Stylisch, besondern wenn 2 Adern nebeneinander auf einer Oberfläche verlaufen. Für gewöhnlich will man diese Kabel aber verstecken, deshalb auch egal wie es aussieht. Denn es gibt nachteile. Das Verbiegen geht naturgemäß nicht in alle richtungen gleich gut, besondern wenn man das Paar trennt - ggf. leichte Verdrehung des Kabels. Kabelschuhe mit Isolierung passen nicht wirklich gut drüber und die schützende Ummantelung ist nicht an allen seiten gleich stark. Das Kabel hat 14AWG, das entspricht 2,08mm². In Deutschland ist die Angabe in AWG unüblich und führt auch zu unüblichen Querschnitten. Das zu schwierigkeiten bei Kabelschuhen bzw dem Presswerkzeug führen kann. Meine Zange hat zB nur 1,5mm² und 2,5mm². Beides nicht optimale, so dass ich zuerst mit der 2,5mm² Presse und dann nochmal mit 1,5mm², damit es auch wirklich fest wird. Es kommt also auch auf den Einsatzzweck an. Das Kabel ist als Lautsprecherkabel ausgewiesen. Hierfür ist es sehr gut geeignet. Kabelschuhe werden üblicherweise dann ohnehin nicht genutzt und mehr als 2,08mm² braucht niemand mit Hifi berreich und selbst im PA Bereich wäre dieser Querschnitt noch für viele ohne Einschränkungen nutzbar. Sieht man einen anderen Einstazzweck vor, sollte man prüfen, ob es ggf nicht ein passenderes Kabel gibt.

Mir ist mein Subwoofer kaputt gegange, sodass ich ihn aus meinem analogen Hifi-System ausbauen musste. Bei der Gelegenheit habe ich auch gleich meine alten Kabel gegen das hier bestellte ausgetauscht. Ganz im Ernst: Das Kabel macht den Unterschied. Meine Anlage klang vorher auch ziemlich gut, doch jetzt ist der Klang auf einem ganz anderen Level. Die hier angebotene Qualität ist der Oberhammer und ich hätte im Leben nicht erwartet, dass die Qualität des Kabels so viel Einfluss auf den Klang haben könnte. Auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis überzeugt. Ich bin persönlich schwer begeistert und bewerte folglich mit der Maximalpunktzahl.
