These work well and are more effective than the older model that used a small metal tab for the bait. The metal tab often does not get triggered but the plastic tab triggers more effectively.I have found that putting the traps in a small box with one open side helps cleanup. Peanut butter works well as a bait.

This style of victor trap works so much better than the other style of victor with the metal trap release. I used to have my old style traps cleaned off regularly without the traps ever going off. i bought a pair of these from the hardware store last year, and once i realized how much more sensitive they are i immediately ordered a box of 72, and after using a few dozen traps out of that box, i believe i only had one that was too sensitive to set. The trick is to take a pencil, or something similar in size, and wedge it under the trap release until you have the trap set where you want it, then carefully slide the pencil out from underneath the release.

So simple to use , to set up. Inexpensive, can be used over again. Better than many fancy traps I have purchased in the past. Very effective for small sized mice. Pretty strong snap , watch your fingers! Highly recommend!

These are a bit more difficult to set, but still not terrible.I like the ability to set the sensitivity so they don't trip prematurely when placing them.Really need to be careful with your fingers when setting them.Less expensive than most designer traps.

I have used Victor mouse traps for 75 years. Reviewers complained about the quality of Victor traps; so I bought two of each type of Victor mouse trap to see if they were still made as well as the old ones that I have used for years. I bought two taps of this type, which looked similar to an old one I still use with success. Both these traps arrived and they looked like the one I had, but looks were deceiving. I baited each one and tried to set them, but they kept triggering off before I could even set them on the floor. I tried to set each one many times, but I could not get either trap to stay set for more than a few seconds before it would trigger off. A close examination revealed that the trigger mechanism is never going to work because the trap itself and the trigger mechanism are not properly made. My old one has worked reliably for years, but these new traps are poorly made. It is not worth my time to return this junk to Amazon; so into the trashcan they go. I also bought two of Victors other type mouse trap, which is the type I first used in the late 1940's. Of those two traps one worked and caught a mouse. The other trap went off the first night and the entire trap mechanism blew apart but the lucky mouse got away safely. Thus out of 4 Victor mouse traps purchased, I got one that works and the garbage man will get the other three. Too bad Victor can't make a reliable mouse trap like they did decades ago. I guess the Victor company has sacrificed quality to make a cheap product that the consumer has to throw away. I am sure the Victor company does not suffer losing the business of this very old man, but perhaps you younger folks can learn from my experience and save your money. It is sad to see American manufacturing quality decline to the level of Chinese made junk!

I awoke recently to a very unwelcome sound in the middle of the night--rustling and... chewing noises. My suspicions were confirmed the next when I reached into my purse to grab a wrapped candy, only to find it partially unwrapped and chewed on. Ick. There was a mouse in my bedroom! Maybe he had been dislodged from his previous accommodation by the work being done on my house? Either way, I'm a nice person and all but this critter just very rudely invited HIMSELF and I don't tolerate rude guests. I wanted him GONE.I set this trap under my desk and placed some bait on it and was surprised (and relieved) to find a victim in the trap the next morning.Setting the trap only took a moment and I didn't have to worry about taking off my own fingers in the process. Quick and painless for me--probably less so for the mouse. RIP.

Does the job

The advertising says "consistent quality" and "easy to set" but they are anything but that. For every 4 pack you open, there's going to be one or two traps that either will not set or are extremely difficult to set. Where others set easily the first time. it seems that the rod which secures the bait pad in the locked position isn't always attached at the same exact place on each trap (it's only held down by a little eye hook) so if you get one where it's off just a bit, the trap is going to be almost impossible to set. Again I ran into this in every pack, at least once often twice. You would think a company that has been in business so long and making the same product for over a century would make them consistently but that's apparently not the case.

die besten mausefallen die ich kenne, die mausefallen sind schnell zu spannen, vorher zu bestücken , am besten mit nutella oder ich nehme erdnussbutter, die bleibt drauf ,die fällt nicht runter und bleibt bis zur nächsten maus unversehrt drauf. aufpassen muss man, dass man sie nicht frei rumstehen lässt , da leider auch einmal schon ein kleiner vogel etwas fressen wollte, und leider in die mausfalle ging. ich verdecke jetzt immer die mausfalle ,sodass nur noch freche mäuse sich reinschleichen können und es zuschnappt. ich kaufe nur noch diese.

Great traps (bit of a hair trigger but great results). Had success with the original old school traps but the peanut butter's been eaten off them consistently for the last week or so, lined up 2 of these Victory bad boys and immediate success, both triggered while I was at work this arvo.

Articles de relativement bonne qualité, même si le socle en bois d'une des 2 tapettes est fendue. Pas de problème elle reste fonctionnelle.Bon pour le prix faut pas non plus demander un modèle plaqué or.Bref, bon matos fonctionnel et pas cher. Allez y !
