Photos of the back
Nice fitting but the site does not show what the back looks like. Attached are some photos. The bottom is threaded with 1/2” FIPT (not FNPT). The bottom protrudes about 5/8”, requires a 1” dia hole plus it has a key that is about 1/8” deep. Overall just under 2-3/4” diameter and the tops is 1” above the finished surface plus the chain.

Nice piece, but make sure you get the correct fitting
Chose this over the Perko at 1/3 the cost. Installed it on my center console for a freshwater washdown. My boat came with the Perko one at the stern for the saltwater washdown, which uses the standard 65-cent NPT fittings I can easily get at Boat Owners Warehouse. As stated in the description, so not a fault of the retailer, this used IPT (Iron Pipe Thread). My NPT fitting didn’t work and instead had to go back out to Home Depot to get the 1/2” MIP (Male Iron Pipe) to 1/2” barb I needed for my installation. Once all is said and done, it looks great. Much cleaner than just he hose coming out as I previously had.
