Love these shoes! I had a pair like them in the 90's, until they were stolen out of my car...I have been wishing I still had these tough, stylish shoes back ever since! The pair I received is perfect, and I have no complaints; however, as with any new leather goods, the material is stiff at first and does require a few "breaking in" wears before the shoes are fit to be worn in a situation that requires walking or standing for long periods. That said, I still own a pair of Doc Marten boots I've had since shortly after my old pair of Mary Janes was stolen, and they barely show their age, despite near-constant use in winter and occasional summer wear as well. I'm certain that if my old pair hadn't been taken, I'd still be sporting them today...with no blisters for my trouble!

I had the Skechers version of this shoe 20+ years ago when I was on a limited income and I loved them, in my many moves back and forth across the country they were lost or donated. I got to thinking about them and decided to purchase the real deal. This shoe is so cute & well made. Everything I hoped it would be. They fit perfectly in length and width, I just could not get them to buckle for the life of me. I have small feet & very high arches, and can have an issue with slip-on shoes, but never shoes that tie or buckle, but the straps on these were incredibly short! I was so sad to have to return them.

First of all it’s not made clear whether the sizes are in US or UK so I ordered a size 7 for my girlfriend but she received a size 5 which I’m assuming it’s a US 5 ? I tried them on and I’m a US 6.5 and they fit me a little tight. So then I returned them and ordered another size trying to figure out what would be equivalent to a size 7. There was no helpful size chart to go off of. Yes they have a size chart but it didn’t say if it’s in US or UK sizes so I had to resort to going through reviews and to see what others had ordered. One reviewer said they ordered a size 9 but received a size 7. So I thought I had beat the system and ordered those bad bitches BUT THEN she actually received a sized 9! Like what in the haberdashery hemoglobins?!??!!? So I gave up. I ended up just ordering straight from dr martins website. I did noticed though if you select a size and right when your about to check out and pay if you selected the item it’ll tell you the size your actually ordering and I did do this for the size 9 it said women’s size 7 so that when I thought I had beat the glitch or whatever was going on there. Who knows hopefully someone can figure this out.
