Awesome game! Real hard to get an albatross though!

Typical golf game actually like tired off better but this one has the same kind of gameplay sometimes interface eagle eye to help your putting different levels in case you're a beginner or a professional to typical place kissing game. Good graphics you can have a speed up to where you're just being playing without all the screens that come after it. And some of the courses are really pretty

Pros: - Fun, addicting game play - Detailed golf simulation. Can shape shots, add spin and choose shot types. Putting is challenging yet satisfying - Highly customizable difficulty levels ensure everyone can play with the appropriate level of challenge Cons: - If they're going to acquire PGA licensing and stick Justin Thomas on their cover, you better be able to play as Justin Thomas, or at the very least be able to play directly against him. The fact that you can do neither, with any of the pros, is borderline false advertising. - Game lacks any meaningful player progression. No way to improve player stats either directly or through clubs/gear upgrades - Graphics are seriously lacking for 2020. Courses are OK, but players are blocky and awkward. Overall I feel that the quality of golf (which is why you buy this game in the first place) carries this title to a respectable rating despite its flaws. Good starting point for the franchise, and if they'd flesh out some of the game modes and player progression and add the ability to play as the pros (along with a graphic overhaul) this series has the potential to be one of golfs best.

My husband really enjoyed this game during COVID. My son gave his PS4 to his Dad when he got a new PS5, so I got my husband this game. He loves it. And he's saving on all those golf course fees. And this game doesn't hurt his back like a real golf course does. And amazingly, he's not super tired after a round, like he is in real life. (lol) Seriously, he says it is a very well structured game with lots of options to make you feel like you are really playing. I think it's a great value, and a great gift.

Nice game, it will hang up when you play PGA tour sometimes though. Turn off other players replay and it won't do that.

I thought this was going to be fun at first. I've played 4 tournaments, winning all 4 on normal difficulty, and advanced to the PGA Tour. The controls were a little fluky sometimes, but reasonable. The real problems started at the first PGA tournament. Every couple holes it freezes for 3-5 minutes, while it's apparently loading a highlight from another player. When it shows the highlight, the audio hasn't matched what is shown a single time. They'll say something like "what a hole out for eagle!", then the players scorecard shows they made a par. It's been wrong every single time. The announcer for my play is often wrong as well. They'll say something is headed for the short grass or the green, and then the ball ends up in the rough or a bunker. If I'm -6 for a round, but -2 on the back nine, they'll announce my overall score as -2 instead of -6. The golfers names shown on the leaderboard are often messed up as well. It will show something like c0004 instead of a real name. Or it will show rJustin_Thomas. I played for about 5 hours and I'm done. I'm not going to waste time building up a career on a game with this many flaws. It's been out for a couple years and they haven't bothered to fix any of this with patches?
