My horse just came back from rehab for his back, and has been in a long process of regaining his topline and weight. I was skeptical about getting a new saddle, especially off of desertcart, but this one came highly recommended by trainer and friends. He had no soreness or irritation with it. He’s a very high withered horse, so the adjustable gullet system is a life saver. I didn’t need to change the gullet for him, as the one it came with he was happy and comfortable with. The saddle itself is pretty comfortable, considering its price. I will say, I do think the seat wears down rather quickly. We’ve had maybe 30 rides in this saddle since I bought it in May 2025, and it doesn’t feel as comfortable as it did the first 10, but that’s probably my only complaint with it. Review: Room for improvement - The synthetic material make saddle care a snap. The seat is comfortable. The small knee blocks on Velcro are easily adjustable. I wanted this saddle to work. It did at first for a couple of months. Then my horse grew. Changing the gullet is straightforward, but is not adjustable enough to make for a comfortable fit for my growing 5 year old Quarter Horse. I’m hoping Wintec has a suggestion that will make this saddle fit better. He HATES it—moves away whenever he sees it! The bullet straps are uneven now and hard to adjust after changing the gullet. If Wintec expert can share recommendations, I will appreciate the assistance greatly. My horse NEEDS a comfortable well fitting saddle.
