Essentials Softgels, Fish Oil Omega-3, 1000 mg, 250 Count

Our 4 dogs, as well as my husband and I take fish oil every day. This can become quite expensive! This is a cost effective brand for decent quality fish oil. Yes, there are higher quality brands. My naturopath recommended a different one, but it was just too expensive for our family. When I asked about Spectrum, the doc said it was a good option for a tight budget. I like that I don't taste fish after taking this, not does it make my dogs smell fishy. We have a small farm in addition to our "real" jobs. Our lives are far from sedentary, so fish oil is an important supplement to help decrease inflammation, maintain heart health, and keep our joints and muscles functioning efficiently.

I have used this brand for many years and likewise use it for my doggy girl. Good quality, but I'm guessing the price will continue to increase. I do trust the brand to screen the product against contaminants and produce a quality product, though, so that does increase my willingness to stay with it.

I reorder this brand frequently. Quality vitamins are important. I read labels carefully and my husband and I benefit from this supplement.

Have not compared to others, this is the one and only I have tried. However, I have read about other products that give fishy burps and other unpleasant side effects. I don't get any of the those with this product. when my Australian Shepard was having some skin irritations, I was pin pricking a capsule on his food. With the premium they put on pet supplies, this was the same price per capsule and was organic. A no brainer.

This is quite literally the *only* fish oil I've ever taken that *doesn't* cause stomach pain and fishy burps. I currently take six pills per day (two with each meal daily) to help get my high triglyceride levels under control. It's a win-win: a bottle of fish oil caplets every month is actually cheaper than prescription drugs like statins or fenofibrates, and the fish oil seems not to have the liver-damaging side effects one can experience with the prescription meds. I've also noticed that some of my other health issues (a couple of auto-immune conditions) seem to be somewhat mitigated by taking this regularly. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I'm definitely pleased with this regime and will continue it as long as I can still get this product.

I bought this brand on my last re-stock of Omega 3 action at the local grocery and found it to be a good product. And, being the Amazon freak that I'm sure you've found yourself becoming, as you're shopping for fish oil online, I knew I could get it cheaper here. So I did. Good clean oil, keep it in the fridge to avoid fish burps and take with food or a large glass of water. I, as a 200 lb 6' 1" male, take two every morning
