Above the Clouds

The two leads are both good in their roles: likable, believable. Fun to watch their relationship grow and mature, as they share secrets with one another. This is a road-trip film, but with some real twists to make it unique. The only quibble is that the ending was poorly thought out. The way in which she ended her relationship with her real dad could have been much better, much more sensible. His behavior hardly classified him as a creep, since he had no idea who this girl really was.

Both characters are on a journey. One is grieving which takes a while to be revealed. The other has just discovered that she has not known who her real parents were. She finds out where the surprise one is and then Oz and Charlie go on a car trip together to discover the truth. In the meantime they bump into some characters and learn how to care for each other which leads to caring for themselves in a deeper way. Worth a watch!!

Excessive use of foul language really detracted from this movie. Very heavy subject matter in some places. Lacks continuity. Strange ending. Trailer leads one to believe movie is going to be mostly light-hearted. Film is much more about “responsible adult” (Oz) than the purported lead (Charlie)

Refreshingly different take on the road trip movie. Funny, smart and unexpected.

It's so hard to find a decent movie now days. Finally I found one I could watch the whole way through! It was very enjoyable watching the relationship between the two main characters develop...a sweet, unlikely friendship. I really don't understand why anyone would give this a negative review .

A very well scripted movie carried off by two excellent performers. The locations didn't hurt of course, but the flick captures two in depth people learning to relate.You won't regret watching this.

It's just another baloney lgbtqplus waste of time.

Well-developed characters with a sweet story of a young woman discovering the world is more nuanced than she realized. Less coming of age, more growing into herself.
