Face shields will help keep you safer when interacting with others in close quarters. Ideal for grocers, cashiers, and even mail carriers, these shields will help protect from splashes, spray, and even touching your face. Great to wear when grocery shopping. You can easily wear glasses underneath the shield as well as a mask. Perfect solution for people who cannot wear a mask but still want some protection.

Good Enough for Most Tasks
First of all, I would like to say that this shield can be assembled and worn in reasonable comfort. It is able to do the job that most people buy it for.So let me run thru what I found when I opened the Amazon Box and retrieved them from underneath some metal parts (20 metal pants hangers) and 3 crossword puzzle books. I found the two packages I ordered each contained three units instead of the two that I had ordered. Go figure! But the product seemed to be undamaged. Once I opened the package I noticed that the padded foam strips (installation left for the user) were kind of crushed in places due to pressure from the firm plastic headbands resting on them (being pressed down by the aforementioned items). Not a real problem yet as they seem to be recovering their original shape. I installed a foam strip and found that with reasonable care it sticks down without any problem - I did scrub the headband area where the foam strip goes with an alcohol wipe, but that's just me. So, that being done, I tested the headband for fit and snapped the ends together without any problem - I recommend you do the same, BEFORE attaching the shield. I didn't quite understand the directions at this point for attaching the shield to the headband. Nevertheless, after fiddling with it I found out that if you understand and follow the directions EXACTLY it is really quite simple. Disassembly is not easy.It was nice that I didn't have to try and peel off protective plastic layers - however, in use testing I found that the shield was not exactly clear, and it has some areas that cause distortion of what I am looking at. Mind you, it is "clear enough" but it is not "OPTICALLY CLEAR" as stated in the description. The clarity is enough for most computer tasks - maybe not for graphic or artistic tasks - and reading. I am writing this review wearing it and am not having difficulty, save for minor distractions due to distortion. The shield fits over my computer glasses without interference.Bottom line, if you can tolerate minor visual distortions you will find this adequate to the task. I just recommend that before attaching the shield to the headband you take a moment to wash the shield carefully (I used a clean soft sponge with mild dish detergent and water, and dried by patting with a soft towel).

An okay shield that could be better.
You have to put the shield together after you open the package, snapping the pre-drilled holes in the face piece onto the head band. Then, you take the forehead foam piece and pull off the plastic guard protecting the glue on the foam, then attached it to the band. The problem comes when snapping the face shield to the head band when the shield must be pulled and snapped into the plastic snaps on the band. This took me several minutes but eventually, I was able to juggle it around to connect to all the snaps. Then you adjust the band for your head size by pulling the band to snap it together at the correct size for your head. Also the forehead foam strip seems too long and the ends are left open and do not stick to the band. When you wear the shield, the plastic band seems to push uncomfortably into the back of your head. The clear plastic shield will slightly distort the image you see. A good point was that its design has it sitting on your head as opposed to using a rubberized head band that is not adjustable, as in some masks, that eventually digs uncomfortably into your head. If you want a shield this one will work, but, in my opinion, a good pair of goggles are a better choice since there is no installation process and they do a better job of sealing to your head around your eyes. Good goggles do not distort the image.

Not bad, pretty good product.
I read the reviews and was hesitant to order, but took a chance. I'm glad I did, if you follow the instructions it goes much smoother. I was surprised to see that the bands already had the foam pieces applied, made me wonder if they updated their process and not the instructions? Or did I receive a pair that had been returned?? It looked like a new one since the shield was fine, no scratches and the bag it came in was sealed. Make sure you attach the shield like they suggest, by placing the outside pegs first, and keeping the middle part lifted, then when you bring it down, place the other pegs in the corresponding holes, it's much easier. In the reviews I had read to fit the head band part first, so I did. I also took a soft Kleenex with alcohol and cleaned and dried the shield part. Some spoke about the distorted plastic view, unless you plan to read, I did not see any issue with it. I can see clearly thru the shield part. Pretty good product, I recommend buying it. :)

No complaints
We purchased the shields as we have upcoming air travel, we plan to use them along with masks for added safety in airports. The shields were easy to put together, the film was unscratched (read some reviews noting scratches), affixes to the head just fine. Review edit after use: The shield doesn't form to your head, it remains completely round, which is ok, but it rests on your ears. Still not a deal breaker, just something to note (the positive is it doesn't mess up your hair as much as form fitting ones do). I wore mine for a full day of travel (airports, planes, etc) from 4 am to 7 pm. Very comfortable from beginning to end and very clear; enough so that I constantly forgot I was wearing it and bashed my hand into the shield attempting to itch my face, eat, etc. It only fogged up a little (very little) when I was huffing and puffing through the airport racing from one gate to another.
