The Huge Bag of Worries
This book is a wonderful resource for children to help them to talk about their worries. It provides insight into how worries can build up and become overwhelming for kids when they don't talk about them and provides helpful strategies for dealing with the worries. I use this book with the children I work with who have been sexually abused.

Great book for kids who worry
Great book for a child to see what to do with worries. I liked that the girl in the story had a wide variety of worries, but it didn't delve into them. This makes the story appropriate for children who worry about everything from school, war, parents fighting, or anything else. It helps them see how to deal with these worries.Highly recommend it for K-3.

Engaging and relatable book with helpful strategies, but could use some updates for 2019
My kindergarten age son has ASD/ADHD/anxiety and I have been looking for age appropriate ways to help him identify and discuss his anxiety. Enter this book!Overall, this book is fantastic. My son loves it and so does my 2 year old daughter. They both listen closely, love the pictures, and my son seems to really enjoy the idea of the girl facing her worries and conquering them by examining them in the light of day, and confiding in a trusted person. The only thing I don't love is that the girl doesn't feel like she can confide in either of her parents, and their gender roles are pretty stereotypical. Also, one of her worries is that she might be getting "too fat" and I dislike that sort of self talk because I think it sends the wrong message. However, I acknowledge that these feelings are pretty common amongst kids, so the idea of just finding someone they can confide in is helpful. I personally choose to change the wording a little bit, and to remind my son that he can always share his worries with me.Side note: We also enjoy discussing the big brother's response to his sister and looking closely at the picture of his room to decide if he's being honest (spoiler alert - what's under his bed?).

was exactly what my daughter wanted/needed
my six year old daughter is very emotionally sensitive and anxious and tends to worry about hurting other people's feelings a lot and about many things that would never even occur to me to think about. i was kind of at my wits end about how to calm her down and deal with these worries, and when researching it came across this and one other book. She picked it up and was entranced -- really related to the girl in the book, and was very smiley and happy by the end of it. now she sometimes just goes to the bookshelf and gets it down herself to read to herself.

A great read aloud book for anyone!
This book is an excellent resource for professionals and parents alike! If you have a child or work with a child who has many worries - this entertaining book provides a humorous way of looking at worries, but allows for thoughtful discussion! A great add to any library/resource list!

Very good!
I think it is a great book to help kids to see their worries as something normal and not that threatening as they think they are. I would have liked to see concrete examples at the end of the story, instead of making them disappear as it is done in this story. For example: if the girl said, ˋˋI worry that my mom loses her job'', and then help her to see that ˋˋthat worry belongs to her mom''

Great book for teaching mental health matters
This book teaches children the importance of sharing their worries to others and thus helping children to manage their emotions (specifically anxiety).
