My second year of having fun looking for gold and peace in Quebec. After many videos and reviews, I decided to get my first detector and choose the GoldBug Pro. I chose the GDP because of the ease of use and renowned for its gold-finding abilities, and its price was also a good point. I know about fake copies, but the fact that this item is sold by Amazon gives me confidence. Now, I can assure you that this is the REAL DEAL. The box is plain, and the packing is somewhat light. The detector pieces are tied up together with strong zip ties. Nothing was damaged. The box, even if relatively plain, has some important info about your detector; date of packaging, serial number (should be the same as inside the battery compartment) and provenance (“First Texas Products”, El Paso Texas ( Fisher Labs). So far in only few trips this detectors help me find some gold and also help me identified soil with high level of magnetite where I find good amount of alluvial placer Gold. Thank You Fisher.

This product is only use for mettle not for gold and it have problem to maintain ground balance this product is is 10 years old model

Very happy with the Gold Bug Pro so far! Instructions are a lot easier to get started compared to my Garrett AT Gold. Very lite weight. I was disappointed after spending $800, there was no packaging to protect the detector and parts were lose inside the box. A bit expensive, by time you ship to Canada ! A good quality set of headphones and a Double DD coil supplied would be nice! But a great starter detector! Actually far easier to get started with than my Garret AT Gold. AT GOLD is great as well - both great units- highly recommend both. AT Gold is waterproof. I did upgrade the search coil to a 11" DETECH ULTIMATE coil and this coil works great for deep searching and covering more territory!

I have a large land with lots of quartz depots, I've began with this very sophisticated and highly sensitive to soil metal/gold contents. Can't wait to explore more and hear this golden beep sound making, when it'll be striking... 20 khz frequency, twice the sensitivity of any Garrett detector
