Perfect for my adhd & Autistic son who has problems sleeping
Bought this for my 6yr old Adhd & possibly Autistic son. Affection (hugs, cuddles, ect.) was the only thing to calm him when he has a meltdown and can’t regulate his emotions. So I decided to try this to see if it could help. To my surprise he absolutely loves it! He uses it not only to sleep but, to help him calm down during a meltdown. When he can’t regulate his emotions and he wants to calm down he lays in bed under this and it relaxes him. He is no longer reluctant to go to bed by himself. Where as before he always asked his 5yr old brother (who would agree) to share or ask to sleep with mom (who would usually refuse). He’s finally comfortable and happy sleeping alone his bed. We’ve almost eliminated his nightmares and his tendency to wake up in the middle of the night. He still has a problem with wetting the bed but the sheets are easy to wash and don’t stain. My son also had a chewing stim so I was concerned it would ruin the material. (Like it does to his shirts). But to my delight the material is strong and isn’t effected. It dries fairly quickly and maintains its shape and elasticity. Definitely considered this a necessity in my home.

Game changer for my 4 year old
My 4 yr old daughter has sensory issues and restless leg syndrome. Sleep has always been a struggle and it feels like we've tried everything. A sleep specialist suggested this product with the caveat that there isn't much scientific evidence to support it's effectiveness. We have a weighted blanket and she used that for awhile but now she says that it "hurts". This sheet has been amazing for her. It's soft and silky and just the right amount of pressure to make her feel secure and cozy. While she still struggles to wind down and go to sleep, she sleeps soundly all night long. And that has happened very, very few times since she was born. She never wants to get out of bed in the morning! I swear it is magical. Buy it. For the price, it's worth a try because it just might change your lives!!

Game Changer for Bedtime!!
I have an 8-year-old autistic/ADHD son, and I was struggling with getting him to go to bed. We have tried weighted blankets, and although he said he liked them, he kicked them off within a few minutes. This stretchy band has been a game-changer for him. We have had this for several months, and he now looks forward to going to bed. It has just the right amount of stretch and is super breathable. It allows room under the band for fuzzy blankets, but provides enough compression to help relax his body. Its super easy to slip on and off to wash.

not bad
I bought this for my child to use in addition to a weighted blanket, because they crave more compression than is safe given their weight. Honestly, kiddo was disappointed at first that this sheet doesn't squeeze them more. It's really a light touch, not deep pressure at all. However, I have noticed that they are reliably falling asleep more easily while using it. It could be a fluke (all parents and caregivers know that sleep patterns can be inexplicable at times), but I really think the sheet is helping. I should also note that while both me and kiddo wish this sheet had stronger compression, I don't think it would be practical at all. As it is, it's really a struggle to get it on the mattress. It's definitely a process, and I felt like I was wrestling a manatee into a bathing suit. And I realize that I will have to go through that process every time I wash the sheets. So a tighter compression sheet probably wouldn't be usable, because nobody would be able to get it on. It is what it is, and while it wasn't exactly what I hoped for, it's working better than I expected given what it is!

OT recommend and I approve!
I love this! My OT recommended it after we tried various weighted blankets that I didn't care for. This offers the perfect amount of compression and still allows for movement. It fits my full size bed perfectly. Definitely feel like I sleep better with this. It was easy to get in to the bed and the elastic bad is high quality. The fabric is light weight so it doesn't make you over heat. If weighted blankets are too heavy and restricting to you j highly recommend this Lycra compression sheet. I also like that it has a opening on both ends so your feet can be free to move.

Great for children that like compression for calming!
UPDATE: After using this product for two nights, I can say this was a great purchase. My child loves it. He said it's soft and stretchy, but the pressure it gives him feels very relaxing. He has slept better, and I hope this continues. A bonus that I discovered is that he hardly messes up his covers at night so making the bed has been significantly easier for him, and it's less of a battle to get him to do it. Yay! I'm hoping it holds up to washes and being stretched over the mattress on a regular basis. If the prices were to stay the same, even if I had to buy a new one each year, it would be worth it. He looks forward to going to bed now, which is also another plus. I will update if there are any other changes. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this for my child to see if it would help with calming/relaxing to go to sleep at night, and to get back to sleep in the middle of the night. I just washed the sheet (cold, gentle, line dry) and put on my child's mattress and wanted to post a couple of thoughts before I forgot them. It's very stretchy so it wasn't terribly difficult to get on the mattress. If your mattress was not a standard spring and easy to pick up and move around, I could see it being quite a challenge to wrestle it onto the mattress, especially if it's bigger than a twin size (like a thick, heavy foam or plush mattress, or queen, etc.) I'm planning on a new mattress at some point, and if my child loves this sheet, I will be sure to get an inner spring, not a memory foam style mattress. Changing the sheets regularly and having to move around a memory foam mattress would be exhausting, I presume. I was going to get a weighted blanket but after researching them, wanted to try this as an alternative, for several reasons. (A) - Good quality weighted blankets can be several hundred dollars, or more. There are cheaper versions, but I would question the quality. I thought this was a great, affordable option to try first. (B) - Children move around a lot while sleeping and I have serious concerns about it staying on the bed/child for very long, which would defeat the purpose of the investment in the weighted blanket. (C) - I researched making my own weighted blanket. I am not afraid of DIY options for certain things. I don't have the time to try to take on a project like this. I will update after a week or two of use and let you know how my child likes it.

Wish I found sooner!
I LOVE THIS! I wish I had researched and found these sooner! My son really struggles with going to bed at night. It’s been a battle for years. A typical week would see him coming out of him room 3-5 nights a week and usually 2-4 times each night. Since putting the sheet on his bed, he comes out maybe 1-2 time a week maximum, and usually only if something has been unusual in our night routine (going to bed later, busy/crazy day, etc.) He feels much more secure and has been having fewer nightmares as well. He was also coming into our bed in the middle of the night 1-2x a week. Since purchasing the sheet a few months ago, he has come into our bed maybe 1-3x TOTAL. Huge wins for his sleep quality (and for mine…because, let’s face it, Dad sleeps through most of it) 😂 The material is a little chilly in the winter, but we’ve solved that by putting a cozy blanket under the sheet for warmth.

Nice material but didn’t work the way we hoped!
The sheet fit the bed nicely and was a comfortable material however it did not help my daughter sleep any better.
