Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)

Ok lets start with the one aspect that may be a weak point for some. The graphics, some are saying there isn't much of an upgrade here. I never played the original but what I can say is they aren't triple A standard. However that being said. This is a great game. I've played just about 4 hours and I'm hooked. The story is intresting. The graphical style is vibrant.(except in caves obviously). I was a big Skyrim fan, that is until I played this game. The story is way better. Characters are more interesting. I would say that some of the accents are not the best. The Scottish one in particular is a little off. But it doesn't detract from the the imersion too much. I found it actually quite charming to be honest. And as for the musical score? They nailed it. This game has some of the best music you will hear in a video game. Overall a brilliant and charming game. Buy this game you won't be disappointed. A definite 9 out of 10 for me at least.

Very good remaster of a very under appreciated RPG in my opinion.great art style and story.the lore of the world is mesmerising and there’s so much to do.the remaster has slightly improved graphics and maybe a few other improvements like frame rate etc but not by much esp if you had it on pc but massive improvement over ps3 version .for me this is essential for any rpg fan and will keep you going a long time with all there is to do and will keep you smiling all the way with the humour of it all.well worth it even if it still does feel like it’s 2012 especially if you never played it originally

Great rework

I played the original on the Xbox 360 and remembered really enjoying it so was excited for the remaster. Well I got it for the PS4 and its still a great game with really good combat and an interesting story and world. The remaster doesn't seemed to have changed the graphics much at all however and I am struggling to see any difference to the original release. In fact loading screens seem to now take longer than on the original and yes I have checked this by getting the old 360 game running and they are a few seconds longer in most places. As i said its still a great game and I'm glad I can now play it on PS4, I just wish they had made more effort with improving the graphics, the character models in the dialogue scenes still look like waxwork models. I hope the re release will lead to a sequel as this world needs to be explored more. UPDATE......I have been playing this game every chance I get and I'd really forgotten just how much fun it is. I really don't care that the graphics haven't been updated much, its just so much fun to play which is something that's missing from a lot of modern games. The story is also very good as is the voice acting. The huge world has loads to do and I haven't even touched the included DLC yet. I really hope we get a sequel now!

Loved this game on the PS3 and on gameplay alone it is just as rewarding on the PS4 and deserves 5 stars. I always loved the freedom to choose any weapons and mix character skills rather than be limited to a Rogue/ Warrior/ Sorcerer play style. I find the transition to the PS4 has picked up one annoying quirk in particular, I'll get to that later. Generally I find graphics are better however the game brightness is that much darker. Even with every TV and game brightness control turned up to maximum I only can tell what colour eyes I am choosing for the character by knowing what they were on the PS3. Video sequences inside buildings also have an interesting aspect, the characters look like they never wash from below their ears (as pictured). This though is only a minor niggle compared to how long i find scenes take to load, particularly going from inside to outside. Scene loading was always slow on the PS3, this issue is now worse. Stepping into a building is generally taking around 10 to 15 seconds, stepping outside again, quickest I've measures is 43 seconds, slowest 51 seconds. So every trip to a shop and out again means a minute plus of staring at a loading screen, and maybe it's being an older player but i just feel this is too slow.

Although this game gives the illusion of an mmo ( massively multiplayer online) game it actually isn't and I tell you what the game play alone is just enough to make this game such a pleasure to play the story is amazing the side quest are good and the map is just massive I like how the scenery changes as you enter a new area All in all love this game very addictive game to play

Really good game, exactly how i remembered except now I have all the DLC including the DLC armour, accessories etc. I have yet to finish but it's highly addictive and I'm doing everything in the game.

Por el precio de 22 euros, Nuevo, es ideal, una perfecta adaptación a la Ps4 con la cantidad de años que tiene. Para aficionados al buen rol con excelente jugabilidad. El único problema es que no tiene el español hablado, solo texto

Merci Amazon 🙂 J'avais déjà joué à: Les Royaumes D'alamur RECKONING sur PS3 en 2012( j'ai toujours le jeu version PS3 ) . J'avais trouvé le jeu beau et excellent à l'époque c'est à dire en 2012 date de sortie du jeu sur PS3. Voulant y rejouer sur la PS4 et voyant qu'un remaster était sorti, je l'ai acheté afin de voir si le jeu en valait la peine et si il était mieux que la version précédente. EH ! bien! Je n'ai pas constaté énormément de changement et, franchement même si il reste beau à certains endroits et moins beau à d'autres, le jeu à tout de même un peu vieilli graphiquement. Il reste quand même un excellent action RPG qui est toujours très agréable à jouer mais il vous faudra le replacer dans le contexte de son époque c'est à dire en 2012 ! Ce remaster rend le jeu un peu plus lissé et un peu plus beau mais cela reste assez paresseux et n'apporte pas énormément de grand changement à part les DLC qui sont sympa et le jeu reste toujours un très bon Action RPG avec des heures et des heures de jeu non volées 😉 L'audio musicale reste cependant excellente et vous met bien dans l'ambiance. Ne vous attendez pas non plus à un remaster super retravaillé de bout en bout mais j'ai tout de même pris beaucoup de plaisir à y rejouer sur PS4 en espérant un jour une suite...qui sait on a le droit de rêver un peu ^^ 😉 Il mérite bien ses 5 étoiles ! 😉 Pour finir, je dirais que suis bien content de l'avoir aussi sur PS4 ! 🙂 Il reste intéressant à faire si vous ne l'avez pas encore fait et pas connu sur PS3 en 2012 ! Un gioco per console Ps4 datato ma sempre un classico per gli amanti del genere

Bisschen nostalgisch. Bisschen weirde Grafik. Viel zu Erkunden. Cooles Kampfsystem und ne interessante Story.

もう10年位前にリリースされたゲームですが、当時は確か面白いけどフリーズ多発だったのでスルーした記憶があります。 時を経てPS4などでリマスター発売されちょうど他にプレイするゲームがなかったこともあり購入。 海外版ですが事前に日本語字幕ありと判明していたので起動＆プレイに関しては何ら問題ないです。 ゲーム自体は典型例なオープンワールドのアクションRPGで、戦闘アクションが少し個性的で面白いなと個人的には感じました。 ゲーム本編に加え追加コンテンツも全て入っているためボリュームとしてはかなりあると思います。 メインクエストを追っているうちにどんどんサブクエ発生していくタイプで、どの順番でクリアしていくかはプレイヤー次第といったところ。 ちなみに私は本編と追加コンテンツメインをクリアした時点の総プレイ時間は約40時間ちょっとでした。 難易度ノーマルでゴリゴリの戦士タイプに全振りした脳筋プレイをしましたが、全体をとおして手こずった相手や苦労した場面はほとんど無かったです。 難易度あげればもう少し緊張感のあるプレイもできたかもですが、個人的には無双とはいかないまでも適度に爽快感を欲していたのでこれくらいの難易度でも楽しめました。 ストーリーとしては少し癖のある世界観で若干分かりにくいところもありますが、プレイ自体に支障をきたすようなことは無かったです。 むしろテキストボリュームも多いので素直に読んでいると時間が相当かかるので私はキャラボイス飛ばして速読しました。 過去に出たゲームということもあり若干システム面など古臭いなと感じる場面も少なからずありますが、 ボリュームも十分で戦闘アクションも面白いので、この手のゲーム好きならオススメです。
