Fundamentals of Construction Estimating

I bought this book as a novice to Construction Estimating.....but I don't know if it's helping me? This book should be sold with access to "Instructor's Companion" (see page viii Preface) which if you are not a student or teacher YOU HAVE NO ACCESS TO!!If you offer the book with a "Review Questions" section you need the reader to have access to the answers to check their work. This is a text book meant for students in a class room environment, great for them but doesn't help me and was not advertised as such.I contacted Cengage (Nelson Brain Inquire (Nelson CAN) in Canada) their response was "Sorry, the answer key is restricted from sale to private individuals and can only be sold to instructors." so I have no way of accessing the website to check my answers....VERY DISAPPOINTING....as the book is good other wise...or is it I don't know as my answers could be incorrect!

I bought this book for my CIQS exam but I am unable to have access to the solutions which I absolutely require in order to check my solutions. I just read a similar review of someone that had the same problem. The actual content seems to be okay, but again, I really need the solutions to these problems, to check my work against.

BORING, but necessary. I ordered a book I needed and got exactly what I ordered. Packaged well and treated well, perfect condition and great for sleeping on while I try to study.Contains the information I needed of course, any lack of information gathering is my own fault, not the books.
