I recently bought a mint green Ikea desk chair. One of the things I liked about it was that the casters matched the rest of the chair, creating a great monochromatic look. Unfortunately, I didn't realize Ikea casters lock if you are not sitting in the chair. I found multiple videos demonstrating how to disable the locking brake, but none of them worked on these casters. Rather than scratch up the floor, and waste time dragging the chair back and forth, I gave up and ordered these compatible black casters. While I miss the monochromatic look of the chair, I am SO happy I can freely roll the chair around. They fit and they work great!

Just bought a house recently and went from carpet to laminate wood. The original chair wheels were plastic and marking up the floor. These have been great - no marks, no issues. They were very easy to pop into my AmazonBasics chair. They have since collected some dust and dirt from the floor, but its been easy to clean off and a sign that I should be sweeping more.The wheels wiggle around a little more than before, but I attribute that more to the floor (carpet > wood) than anything to do with the wheels. The rubber appears to stay put as well as my plastic ones did.

I have an old Ikea chair, the wheels broke on the inside after 7 years, so I need it to replace them because the rest of the chair is very good. I found this one I was unsure about the measurements, but it fitted perfectly. They were very easy to install, no tools required. I’ve been using them for a while now, over 2 months and they are great. They roll perfectly on the floor.

These fit my Ikea chair, install easily, and roll on a chair mat. They do not always roll smoothly when changing directions back and forth but they are much better than the inline casters.

These casters are the perfect replacement for the ones that came on the IKEA office chairs I purchased. The original casters are not high quality and did not roll well. These are fantastic and are easy to install. I am glad these are available. I would recommend this product.

Pros: Fits an IKEA chair. Very smooth ride once you start moving. Looks really slick on your chair. Works on low pile to flat carpet too very nicely (even with the rubber wheels). Cons: Because the casters have a wide wheel base, it's very hard to 'nudge' your chair just a bit if you don't pull up quite the right way at your desk. I didn't realize this would be such a problem until I found myself having to consciously pull away and then straighten the wheels out to come back to my desk with the wheels aligned properly. I did see this in other reviews where the reviewer said "you can't turn on a dime." Well they were right. So instead of new casters, I just got a new chair, and will be returning these.
