The thing works. The blue is not annoying and is easy to adjust the brightness. My only complaint is the brick, yes, even a clock, with the thinnest wiring since angel hair pasta. But the clock works. The manufacturer clearly points out that this an electric clock and not battery. The AAA batteries needed are for backup of settings.

I bought this specifically to use in the living room atop the Cable box after we upgraded to the new FIOS boxes which no longer have Time/Channel displays....so much for enhanced boxes!)Anyway, this Wide-Eyed Clock is PERFECT as a LARGE display on top of our entertainment center since you really can't see the analog wall clock when you dim/turn off the lights to enjoy some TV time.....so this guy is an excellent addition to any decor.I really cannot say much about its dimmed display as I don't use it; the bright display might actually be a bit much for a bedroom clock. I LOVE the unit!

*UPDATE* February... I originally bought this as a Christmas gift, it worked well up until recently where it has switched am to pm. So for instance you want to wake up at 6 am, it’s going off now at 6pm instead. Haven’t changed any settings, but it has switched itself (which is really strange). Contradicts my original post all together.I bought this for my oldest daughter because she’s reached that preteen age where she’s wanting to sleep in until 11 am. This alarm clock is LOUD! You won’t sleep through it. The dimmer setting on this particular clock is great, as it could potentially work as a night light as well. It turns down dim enough so that it’s not keeping you up all night either. There are two presets so you can have two different alarms which is nice for my beginner morning person. She got right up and shut it off her self and started her morning routine without me having to wake her up myself! Happy mom here! I will 5 star rate because it just made my chaotic online school mornings just a tad bit easier! Thankyou to the company for making a user friendly, adaptive piece that is EASY for a ten year old to maneuver around without my assistance! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I bought this for a loved one who is a heavy sleeper. After a week of using it, he loves it for the ability to adjust the alarm volume and the added bonus of a usb port to plug in his phone at night. The only honest drawback is that the clock feels cheap and he isn't sure how well it would survive an accidental fall. No complaints on how to navigate buttons, big enough snooze and bright display. I would recommend for the price.

Best buy under 20 bucks. This piece of electronic pop art is so nice, I ordered another one before I ever plugged it in. It is very noticeable when your trying to read the thing when room lighting would degrade the visibility, bold white numbers on a stark black surround cannot be beat, especially when you have the chose of bright or muted clock numbers, throw in a USB hook up for a cell phone, holy cow!

I needed a clock for near my tv that could be seen from across room. This was perfect! It can be seen, but it’s not a distraction from the tv. Adjustable briteness works fine. It is a radio too, but don’t need that so I can’t say how it works.

Great clock. Love the blue color. I’m able to dim the brightness of the numbers so it doesn’t disturb me at night. So convenient to be able to charge my IPhone at night.

Believe it or not, we still own a VCR. We rely on it's clock when watching tv in the living room. Unfortunately, one of the buttons on the remote has stopped working and it's one needed to update the clock. We need to do that every time there is a power outtage (frequent here in FL) so we decided to keep things simple and purchase a small digital clock. We placed it in front of the VCR and it is large and easy to read. We are still asking each other what time it is and then laughing because it is much larger than the VCR panel. :)

I find this alarm clock to be rather excellent for what you pay for. What's annoying is many people, who are clearly dead to the world, were giving very negative reviews because apparently this clock has both a dull display and a quiet alarm. So I thought, "great". I want both a display that won't brighten the dark of my room whilst I slumber, and an alarm that won't be so loud as to stop my heart from shock.Well, the levels of brightness are terrific, you can choose from, what I would consider, very bright, even on a bright sunny day, to so dull that only in the darkest of dark can it be seen. My issue is the alarm volume. You can choose from not quiet to definitely loud. There definitely is not a quiet setting. Just a subtle little alarm noise is all I'm looking for and this alarm clock does not offer that one bit.Every single person that says this alarm can't wake them up because it's SO quiet is a corpse.Never trust the dead.

I did much research on a new bedside Alarm clock that had an excellent display. I looked at many listings on Amazon, eBay and elsewhere and narrowed the choices down to three. This particular one had the features we wanted - adjustable display with 5 brightness levels, a wall plug in and a battery back up system.There was also the bonus - a selector button for Daylight Savings adjustment. We have found that this unit has maintained very accurate time and it hasn't changed since we installed it. It looks functional but I would never call it attractive. We don't have a need for an alarm so this setting has never been used.In all it was a great price so we hope that it will continue to perform as well.

I bought this alarm clock for my son who is a very heavy sleeper. The time is very easy to read and I love the fact you can change the brightness of the numbers. The alarm itself is loud but I wish it was a little louder. It wakes my son up but takes 4-5 minutes. The only thing I really don't like about this alarm clock is how fragile it seems. It's not very thick or heavy. It seems like it would break very easily. All in all though I would still consider this a great purchase and would recommend it.

Simple and easy to set (no fancy and confusing functions). No manual is needed for me to get it working.The size of the digits is big enough and the brightness can be adjusted.

Item came very quick. Thought it would be bigger and heavier. Display is bright and large enough for me to see across room. It is loud but I was hoping it would've been louder since i am a heavy sleeper.
