Trading Options for Edge: A Professional Guide to Volatility Trading 2nd updated and extended edition

The author is clearly a serious trader. I find this to be a very practical book. He doesn't waste time explaining useless theoretical synthetic positions, but focuses on forming trades that have an edge. One way he does that, which I especially like, is that he describes how trades have pros and cons in 4 volatility regimes or classifications. For example, with VIX under 14, this works well, or with VIX over 20 this works well.

After reading I feel like I have a better understanding of VOL. However, I think it's important to note that these "ranges" are still theoretical and aren't backed by historical data.

A must read for anyone thinking of buying options or to understand trading markets, period. The author really knows what he is talking about and makes it so that anyone can understand. I really enjoy it and I'm sure I will be re-reading parts of it for a long time.

Author has a great knowledge of trading strategies

Mark sebastian is definitely worth listening to and reading his books. The man knows a ton, and is more than willing to share and to teach. This book was out together very well with the graphics and layout, was easy to read, and full of valuable information.

Overall, a great written book, but you need Options experience to understand most of the concepts. I gave it 4 stars because the charts are hard to read. Had to use a magnifying glass to read the numbers.

A great guide with lots of technical info on trading options. This is one you will refer back to over and over as you test out different strategies. Definitely recommend.
