initially it writes smooth, thick and as expected, but after a few pages of writing gel inconsistency is common, like after every 4-5 lines you would see it gets thin and loses the dark blue colour and writes light blue and thin, so after every 4-5 lines you need to jerk the pen or rub the nib hard on paper so that it gets back into its normal writing thickness and smoothness. it really gets annoying and in your classes you will start missing important points during a lecture if you use this pen, but for making good notes, this can be an excellent pen.
