Hasbro Marvel Legends Series X-Men Magneto and Professor X 6-inch Collectible Action Figures Toys, Ages 14 and Up

Wow. Just wow! When I heard that Marvel Legends had obtained the rights to make action figures of Marvel Comics movies made by FOX I didn’t know what to think except how ‘modest’ the original Toy Biz figures were. But when this action figure set was announced I was overjoyed and waited for the opportunity to pre-order it. Spanning almost twenty years, these action figures represent the history of the X-Men movies via four talented actors, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender all in a nice set. The first would have to be Professor Xavier who is presented by either Patrick Stewart or James McAvoy. Appearing as the schoolteacher in the original trilogy in the guise of Patrick Stewart and the final two movies in the newer tetralogy in the guise of James McAvoy. The figure’s body is essentially a suit befitting a professor. Standing at 6.0 inches tall or sitting at 5.25 inches, it is an impressive sight. The accessories on this figure are essential as well as amazing with a wheelchair that can be set up pretty simple and provide the necessary appearance for the paralyzed leader of the X-Men but the wheels however do not work very well but it looks all right. Included also is an extra set of hands that project his psychic actions such as open hands and forehead placement. But the most wonderful accessory is the appropriate head that resembles the younger Professor X played by James McAvoy and the older Professor X played by Patrick Stewart. The last being Magneto who is presented by either Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender. The figure’s body is in the uniform from Days of Future Past which I admit is weird because only one actor fit this version and that was Fassbender’s Magneto. Standing at 6.25 - 6.50 inches tall with the McKellen Magneto being taller. Just like Professor X, the accessories on this figure are splendid. The figure is regaled in a cape that can be removed easily as well as two versions of Magento by both actors. Bare-faced or wearing a helmet each version of Magneto is represented. With McKellen’s helmet straight from the original trilogy and Fassbender wearing the helmet from Days of Future Past. Maybe they went overboard with Xavier’s hands and could have made the wheelchair move better. They compromised with Magneto’s body, but it is more than satisfactory. I do prefer the older versions to the younger versions. Still, this is a great action figure set.

This is the second set I bought so I could open one and keep one in the box. It was shipped in a nice box big enough to keep the package from being damaged and it arrived in perfect condition. Ive read a lot of reviews of people getting damaged packaging from Amazon so I was kind of worried. The first one I got had a small crease in one of the corners which is a big deal for collectors, but not nearly as bad as some other reviews I've seen. The second one I got was perfect and worth displaying. I think Amazon is really stepping it up to take care of their packaging, knowing that people collect these unopened and a package in good condition means a lot. This is a great two pack, marvel legends is an awesome line by Hasbro and I really hope they do more figures from the X-men movies. This two pack is worth every penny.

Everithing is amazing here! Just that the Ian Mckellen and Patrick Sts heads dosnt match that Much with the body of the young ones.

This is a well done set for those who like the movies as these are based on that version of the character.

I was able to get this on sale and well worth the price. Hasbro knocks it out if the park again with multiple head sculpts. This even came in a box! So surprised considering Amazon’s reputation of sending out collectibles in bubble mailers

I'm so used to the MCU Studio line of Marvel Legends, the Fox X-men Studio line is a nice change of pace for Hasbro. There are nothing significantly new with the suited body mold, but there are a new set of hands and head sculpts for Professor X. Magneto, gets new sculpt all around. Both arms and legs are double jointed with pinless tech. The proportions are janky when you take off the cape (so just don't take off the cape). For both figures, I have noticed variations in the eye direction across multiple copies, some are looking left, some are looking straight, but atleast both eyes, are looking in the same direction, there are no derpy eyes (probably since the face deco is 3D printed). Overall this is an enjoyable set, well balanced in accessories and molds for both figures. Surprised at how better this 2-Pack is, compared to the others Hasbro has released (e.g. Storm and Thunderbird, Deadpool and NST, etc.), since it's not readily apparent that corners were cut for atleast one figure. I'll leave it up to you, to guess which one did.

These figures look like they came from the actual X-men films and they are amazing.

Great renditions of the Fox X-men. I like the choice of head sculpts from young to old. Standard marvel legends articulation; Magneto does have a swivel diaphragm which is nice. Good price on Amazon when I purchased it ($38).
