It’s ok
This winter has hit hard on my dry sensitive skin, and after reading up on emu oil, I thought I’d give it a try.I tried it alone at first on my feet at night before bed- and it seemed to do about the same job as my regular moisturizer. It wasn’t overly greasy and did absorb quickly but no “wow” results. Then I decided to combine it with my regular moisturizer and this seemed to work better- it kept the dryness at bay for longer- but not to the extent I was hoping for. I tried this combo for about a week on my very dry hands, elbow and legs as well and found that it worked much better with my regular lotion than alone. I had to reapply less often, but not a lot less. Not a moisture lasts all day kind of thing. As another review mentioned- there is a scent- not a chemical scent and it isn’t unpleasant, just …distracting? You can tell it is an animal product- like clean rendered fat- which it is, really. This makes me not like using it on my hands, and I tend to want to wash them once I use it. That sort of defeats the purpose for me as my hands are my biggest problem area for dry skin. To be fair, I have a very sensitive nose, so it may not bother someone else at all.Overall, I am not sure if the emu oil is worth the hype, but if you don’t mind the mildly distracting smell, it is a good all-natural moisturizer that doesn’t contain any chemicals.Best I can say is that it does moisturize and seems to enhance my other lotions to an extent, but honestly I achieve much better and much longer lasting moisture in my skin (all day) using olive oil & fine sea salt in a scrub in the bath or shower before a light soap and rinse (even if it requires me to scrub out the shower or tub with a degreaser for safety afterwards).Since this is just as natural and less work than that, it may be for you. I will use this up, but probably won’t purchase again.

My HONEST review.
So, I got my nose pierced 03/16/23. Today is 04/30/23. I ended up getting a healing bump on my piercing site, but it didn’t happen right away, it happened in April. I did some research and bought this emu oil. At first, my bump was big.. it didn’t hurt, but it was kind of red from the top layer of skin missing from when I made the mistake of pressing down on the bump with a qtip 🙄.. I didn’t even think to get a picture of it because I was too embarrassed by it and I didn’t think I was going to write this review. I would put some on, go to sleep, and it would be smaller the next day. But the trick is to just keep applying it. Screw the top off, dip the q-tip in the oil (a little goes a long way, but I liked my piercing with a decent layer of oil on it), and reapply every time you notice your skin has absorbed it. What I would do is— spray some saline solution on a q tip and then add a few drops of tea tree oil and clean my piercing with that, then dry it with a dry qtip (DAB it dry, don’t wipe), and then I’d follow up with the oil.. but I didn’t do the tea tree oil and saline every single time, I did tea tree twice a day, saline solution for times a day, and the emu oil all day. It worked FAST. Now, my piercing bump is so small, it should be gone within the next few days. I definitely recommend this product.. I thought I was going to have to find something else to get rid of the bump, but the key is consistency.

Nice enough, but not pourable or even squeezable
I've had emu oil that was more liquid than this is, where this is more of a creamy texture. The top of the bottle has a port you could theoretically pour through, but the viscosity is such that that's impossible. The bottle itself is fairly rigid so it's not really squeezable enough to press some product out of the bottle. I wound up using a swab to get some out and apply it.Secondarily, even though it was fairly well sealed, the outside of the bottle was still a little oily.Would I buy it again? Meh, I might try to source it locally instead from one of the supplement shops.
