overall, i love the philips hue lights. these strip lights are brilliant for what i need. only gripe as others have said, the sticky back is not very strong (not for what i needed anyway) An easy solution was to purchase some 3m Command strips and use them. much stronger adhesive. Great lights and work with alexa no problem.

Easy to connect if you already have a Hue setup. The hardest part was choosing where to put them. Look great and creates so much character in a room.

On sale at £15 this is definitely worth it but I would be quite bothered buying it full price, this goes for all Hue products in my opinion. That aside, you can't go wrong with Phillips products, I have about 8 Hue strips now and some extensions and very happy with the LEDs. I feel they will last a very long time.

I used one pack to backlight my TV (50 inch) & it looks incredible & I use it most days. I'm also a big fan of the app you can download to change the colours & switch the product on remotely. My only qualm was that this product doesn't stick well to the corners of the TV. It's very rigid & difficult to bend so when bending it to go around the edges of the TV I found they kept pinging off. I stuck the corners down with masking tape for a few weeks & then removed it, which seemed to fix this.

Love these lights would definitely recommend works well in media wall

Easy to install to existing strip

I have both the V3 and this the V4 Lightstrips. This review applies to the extension as I had little problem installing the base unit, however the extensions are not as good as the V3. First of all the connectors are smaller and don't connect as well as the old ones, so they come loose and disconnect before you can stick the lightstrips on a wall. And then there is the problem of the backing, it's not as sticky as the old ones and I had difficulty with sticking on the same wall as the base unit! Ironically, I also had issues with getting the backing strip off as this seems to pull off the adhesive strip as well! Where as it took me about 5 minutes to install the v3 version it took me 30 minutes to install these ones and badly at that. I have had to sellotape the extension strip to the base strip to stop it from disconnecting!

Used Philips hue light strips v4 for up and down lighting in our new kitchen. Very happy with shining up on top of the wall units. The under counter lights give plenty of light to work that we don't ever use the big light. The plinth lights are great too. I have the under cabinet light strips and under plinth light strips in a defused holder. I used 3 main units and extended them where required for each light area. The longest is 4m and we’ve had no problems. We have them all wired to a wall switch and use it as a normal light. We don't really play about with the sterling’s or colours so but the app does work fine on the phone.
