I've bought this shampoo several times and it works great. Recently I did receive an order where it bursted inside the packaging but they did immediately send me a replacement. Definitely recommend especially to those that are coming out of a protective style and need to wash away all the built up residue.

My hair stylist said I should use a good clarifying shampoo weekly on my hair because I use a lot of sticky styling products. I didn't know which to get but this brand seemed to be good. The reviews were good and price was fair. The shampoo doesn't really lather because it is sulfate free. I know that it isn't necessary for shampoo or soap to lather to do the job but I get satisfaction out of seeing lather. Nonetheless, this CLEARLY cleans because it removed all the products and a lot of my red highlights! It looked like my head was bleeding. My highlights aren't that new. They are about a month old. Regular shampoo doesn't fade them but this shampoo nearly stripped all the color. If that is the goal - to get rid of built up or temporary color - this stuff works well. If you want to preserve your color, especially if it easily fadeable like red or purple, be careful. You may see your color (and money you paid for the color job) go down the drain. Having said that, my hair is much softer and cleaner and I can tell a difference. But I don't think I will be using this often. It is better for non color treated hair, in my opinion.

I let it sit in my hair for like 30 minutes with a shower/plastic cap on, then rinse. For the most part it really deep cleans well, by using it each time or more often, the better it gets! The conditioner is a plus- makes my hair softer & lighter. Awesome product!

I have naturally curly hair that is bleached and have tried lots of clarifying shampoos with this one being far 'superior' to any of the others. I clarify once per week and deep condition about 3 times per week which is why it is important for me to clarify weekly. Clarifying shampoos should not leave your hair feeling as if you've used a bar of soap or laundry detergent to rid your hair of build-up. This product did not make my hair feel stripped rather, clean, free of product build-up and soft. The product is thick, like a gel consistency and not much is needed. I must have a gentle product for my curls and because I bleach. I've finally found it. Will definitely keep this one in my routine.
