Fits well!
Fit perfectly on my 2004 Mini Cooper S. It's a dirty job. Go ahead and replace the crankshaft sensor o-ring since you will already have the car in Front End Service Mode.

Looks good, fits well!
Replaced the original oil pan gasket after 180K miles. It fits perfectly and hopefully it will last another 180K miles on my 2006 R50! Be prepared to tackle the front end and AC compressor to remove the oil pan. Remember to also replace the crank sensor O-ring while sharing the same access. It is another source of oil leakage on the R50 engine.

A must for R53 maintenance!
Wow, if you haven’t changed the oil pan gasket on your R53 you definitely want to (and the CPS o ring). I had an oil leak that had the underside of my engine coated in old oil and gunk. Replaced those two things, and boom no more oil leak. This gasket is also really nice and ships on a piece of thick cardboard so it can’t get broken along the way. And it has these great alignment clips that help you keep the gasket in place during reinstallation!
