Arrived very well packaged, and in a smart presentation box with a zip-case containing the kit itself, a pack of 10 tubes, USB charging cable, instruction booklet and warranty card.The kit itself is pre-charged, very lightweight, and really easy to set up. It clearly states that before performing any tests you must switch on the unit, let the 15 second countdown happen and wait around 10 further seconds for the device to power off. This MUST be done three times in a row before performing an actual test.After the 3 initial power on and offs, it's a simple matter of switching it on, pressing the settings button (the button on the front right of the device, and setting the desired measurement of how the read out is handled. As we are used to the %BAC method, this is the one we selected.Next is the important bit - setting the correct warning (amber screen) and fail (red screen) limits, as by default the device comes pre-set to the US and European levels (0.020 % BAC as an amber and 0.050 % BAC as a fail)To set this for the current UK limits that apply to England, we set the 'amber' to 0.030 % BAC and the 'red' (fail) to 0.080 % BACBlowing anything from 0.000 % BAC to 0.029 % would show a 'green' display representing a 'pass'.Blowing anything from 0.030 % BAC to 0.079 % would show an 'amber' display representing a 'caution / alcohol present, but still within the UK England legal limit'.Blowing anything from 0.080 % BAC and above would show an 'red' display representing a 'FAIL'As this kit uses a 'fuel cell' rather than a semi-conductor, it is extremely accurate (+ or - 2% accuracy) as opposed to a semi-conductor which can often be up to 20% inaccurate.Testers using 'fuel-cell' technology are generally a lot more expensive than the semi-conductor testers, but they are much more reliable and accurate - and that's what important.

I believe readings are quite accurate

I had my doubts about this item from the start, but stuck with it to see if it would stabilise?I hasn't and it cant be trusted.I blew clear after 3 beers and so I got my 7 year old granddaughter to try and she blew positive after a glass of milk?Don't waste your money on this piece of Crap.

I already own the BLO PRO Alcohol Breathalyzer, but wanted to see how this one compared, as well as the BLO Mini.It is smaller and lighter than the PRO, which offers some benefits for portability which is nice. There are also clear instuctions on the packaging and in the leaflet that comes with it. I can imagine that if you don't follow the instructions then it doesn't work as well as you'd like - but that's true of almost anything. A lot of the negative reviews here seem to say 'I was drinking a lot, then didn't follow the instructions, and now I'm upset with the product'.When used properly, it's convenient, and gives consistent readings. I find it helpful for peace of mind and will happily keep using it.Comparing all three products (Pro, Original, Mini): I feel the Pro seems to give the most consistent results, but the other two give readings that are very close to it, and as I'm not using it for law enforcement I feel they're all definitely accurate enough for me. I like that the Pro has a rechargeable battery built in, instead of adding batteries, but it's also the largest and so the others are more portable. Overall, I'm happy with all three and would recommend them to anyone.

This machine is easy to use and measures your breath alcohol when drinking / same night after drinking- will tell you if you are fit to drive or over the limit so is useful that way. However the morning after, even after late nights, the reading has been 0 which I’m not convinced would be right.

The only thing is it indicates red for over 0.5 BAC which is the Scottish legal limit. England and Wales is 0.8. However don’t drive over 0.5 anyway. Easy to use and quick results. Particularly useful for the morning after when you can still have the effects.

Après avoir compris qu'il ne s'agissait pas d'un thermomètre rectal, j'ai trouvé le produit super précis et réactif. Il sauve des vies. Ceci dit, si votre ami se met à chanter fort et mal, à tituber et à répéter que "non, il n'est pas bourré", le test n'est pas nécessaire.

Es un aparato de un buen, uso si quieres saber después de salir a tomarte algo, saber el porcentaje que tienes de alcohol para no coger el coche, yo lo uso mide lo que has bebido en alcohol.

Ne fonctionne pas correctement après le premier souffle ( j’ai été estimé positif sans avoir bu une goutte d’alcool). Aux souffles suivants, vous indique si vous pouvez prendre le volant mais le taux indiqué n’est pas toujours très précis.
