Dual band wireless home router
I replaced my previous router because it kept losing connection or not allowing devices to connect and wan to lan speeds were less than advertised. Tested with another router and speeds were ok, so I ordered this to have dual band and fix my wan speed. It's been working flawlessly, speeds are as advertised by my ISP (lan and wifi 5GHz), setup was very easy, connections are stable for the previous devices that had problems.I like how the network map shows me all current connected devices for both wifi bands and lan devices, and their up times.Recommended to update to the latest firmware as it comes with a 2024 firmware, to have the latest features and patch vulnerabilities.Guest and IoT wifi isolated networks from main wifi networks (both bands), home assistant easy setup (have not tried it), and easy mesh setup (haven't tried it yet).

Quality Product and Exceptional Above & Beyond Customer Service
TLDR - The product performs excellent and the Tech Support team is absolutely an all-star group.Out of the box the setup was simple and the instructions were clear. However, after an initial successful setup, there was some communication issues between my router and modem. I called tech support and had a great experience dealing with the representatives. When the issue occurred it was late night and I didn't expect to get through, however I was connected with a representative immediately. Mike helped trouble shoot the issue but was unable to resolve. He was detailed, talked me through troubleshooting step by step, and was thorough. He explained the next steps and schedule a call back from their next level of support that best fit my busy schedule. The next day, at the exact agreed upon time, the next level tech support called. This time it was Anne. Anne, and as Mike was--super knowledgeable, very thorough, picked up right where Mike had left off, and took her time to help resolve the issue. Although we had to escalate to the next tier of support, Anne explained the next steps and what to expect. The timeframe given was 1 business day for a follow up but moments later I received a call back from Michael C. We spent time troubleshooting but still were unable to resolve the issue. The issue was going to be escalated again, and we hung up. After about 30 minutes Michael called me back and asked to try one more thing...and the attempt worked. I appreciated his effort and the fact that he took time after we initially hung up to still resolve the issue--he could have easily let it roll upstream to the next rep, but didn't. That's extremely rare and speaks to the level of professionalism of the TP Tech Support Team.Customer service is hard at times, especially dealing with customers of all levels of technical knowledge, language barriers, and more. Although the issue did take some time to resolve, sometimes that is needed to resolve issues--nothing can be done about that. However, throughout the entire process, the TP-Link Support Team was determined to resolve my issue and made me feel as if it was their own.I appreciate the time and effort of those involved as internet connectivity is crucial in my line of work as I'm sure it is for many others. Based on my experience I would definitely purchase another TP-Link product because I know there is a strong support staff standing by to resolve any issues. That is very valuable to me and worth the price of the router.

Excellent interface | Great DTR
The Data Transfer Rate (DTR) is great. I'm getting 400mbs, but I really love the interface. Great domestic node. Easy setup for the novice user. Detailed interface for the expert. Wifi is very strong.Update: This item has been trouble free. I have not needed to fiddle with it since it was installed. Time to update your router.

Decent fast router, not yet at full potential
Picked up one of these in July 2023, so only had it running for a couple of days. At this point, I like it. It's replacing an older Netgear RAX 70 which was a solid performer, but never quite delivered the network speeds I wanted.I've used Netgear devices for years, but there were 3 features that made me want to try this TP link router - The promise of Wi-Fi 7, a 10Gb WAN port, and using Easy Mesh. For me, set up was easy - plugged in and connected, downloaded the TP link app (Tether I think t's called) and everything was working. Whole thing took no more than 5 minutes, and a lot of that was trying to find a spare socket to plug in to....Speeds are great, and on my latest devices (with Wi-Fi 6E radios) I'm getting Gb+ transfer rates within maybe 20 feet of the router. I have a 1.2 Gb line into the house, and this is close to double what I was seeing with prior router.A critical thing for potential users to be aware of is that if your devices don't have at least 6E radios, they won't see the fastest network bands and you'll effectively have just a pretty decent wifi6 connection. There are a lot of wifi6 routers from big brands for much less money than this, might be a better option if you are using older phones / tablets / computers (pre: late 2022 maybe...?).I haven't tried Easy Mesh yet...waiting to see how coverage maps out with this router, but I think I still have one low coverage area that will need to be boosted.Wifi7 isn't out yet, so I assume we'll get a firmware update to enable it at some point. Excited to see what changes that will bring.Overall, based on a whopping couple of days of usage, I'm loving the BE800. Makes me feel like I'm finally getting the connection speeds that I pay for. In reality though, until WiFi7 is finalized, this is just functioning as a great WiFi6E device. If you have computers / phones that can take advantage of that, it's awesome, if you don't then maybe a lower spec and cheaper router is a better option. In my house, devices that could access the fastest band - Pixel 7, Surface Pro 9, MacBook Pro 2023.Things that could not - iPhone 12PM, 2023 iPad Air, 2021 PC with AX1650i Wi-Fi Card, lots of IoT devices, Apple TV 4k (around 3-4 years old).
