Q: Sarna sensitive and the original have different ingredients, what is the difference? Which works better for itching?

I believe the sensitive is fragrance free and the original has a very heavy, sweet sent (to me). I prefer the sensitive. The lotion is really the same.

Q: I'm 70 with itchy back. Will this work? Does it smell?

Yes, this formula is fragranced as it contains menthol, an ingredient used to cool and soothe the skin. Our Sarna Sensitive Lotion, however, is fragrance-free and works to numb itch as well, using pramoxine hydrochloride.

Q: Any tips to get pump to release?

Do not remove pump. Ensure top is screwed on tight, use one hand to hold the cap from moving, then push down on plunger with other hand and turn counter clockwise. After about a half turn, you will hear a slight release of air and the plunger will pop up.
