Lorex 8-Channel 4K Ultra HD Active Deterrence Security System with 6 Indoor/Outdoor Cameras, White (4 Cam 4 Channel)

I owned a previous generation Lorex system (standard def) which just barely got the job done. The software was clunky, the cameras were grainy and all died or at least lost their night vision eventually and it cost $500. Now for about a third of the price I bought this one, hoping it would be improved, and it is in every way. The cameras are sharp and much wider-angle. The software is vastly improved (Lorex Cloud) and quite friendly to use. And the price for this is unbelievable, especially since it includes a 1TB drive, four cameras, all the cabling and even a mouse for setup. It's been completely reliable after a month so far. Adjusting the camera angles is a little annoying with the tiny screws they use, but that's really my only complaint. Time will tell how long the cameras last, though, but at this price, even if they need to be replaced after 5 years, it's still a decent value.

Bought this system after our ZOSI stopped working, this system works great and program is smooth and user friendly. Yes! would buy again!

Great cameras at a great deal. Monitor/tv is needed to first install. One issue I did have with the cameras was one week after installing, I started receiving network error when I tried to view through the app. I called the help line for Lorex and they immediately answered my call and helped me with the issue (manual reset through the monitor)(app issue). No monthly subscription and I can do almost everything through the app. One function I haven’t used is the talk/listen feature. Overall, I’m really satisfied and I took advantage of a good sale when I got the cameras. Be aware that the motion detector is very sensitive so you might get an alert and it could simply be a bug that flew in front of the camera.

Overall great experience. I like everything about the system. Works as advertised. It’s been installedOver a week now. I have recommended and installed lorex products to friends and colleagues before and their tech-support is great to work with.

Easy to set up and use. Was able to keep eye on mom even call 911 when needed.

I'm really frustrated with this product. In the screenshot you can see that I have multiple people in my business and at the bottom of the picture you can see how many white chunks of time it did not record anything so if I ever had a reason that I needed to check my recordings it is a coin toss of if it actually recorded what I needed or not. Lorex didn't respond to my email asking for a solution on this and I'm looking at going through the process of getting new cameras somewhere else all over again.

If you know electrical you will; be able to set this up , you need a tv monitor, this is a great product.

The picture quality is not bad. Could be better though. What I'm really disappointed with is the functionality of the features. No matter how I adjust the motion sensitivity I'm getting notified every 2 minutes on my phone of motion. But when I go back and watch the video there is no motion. Maybe a car going by in the distance. Or someone walking their dog. Literally every 2 minutes I'm getting a notification. It's getting now that I don't even check them so if someone actually was on my property I wouldn't even know because there's so many motion files to go through. Also when they're actually is motion like when I'm going out to get in my vehicle and drive away if I go back later and watch the clip it didn't even start recording until I was already in my vehicle. So it's not even picking up all the motion. Also when I called Tech support to try to get some help to figure out why it's not working the way it should the person I was speaking with had very little knowledge on how these cameras operate and how the software works. And the app is garbage
