I spent ages researching a light for my PC and laptop to address the variable lighting as I spend a lot of time on video calls and delivering training.I settled on the Lume Panel Mini due to the functionality (brightness, warmth, ability to run off internal battery or powered from the USB cable, clear digital display on the back showing light levels and battery time remaining - not that I have been using it on the battery).It is extremely well made and the silicone/latex diffuser is really good and protects the light whilst still allowing free access to the control button and scroll wheel.I haven’t had any issues at all with the suction mount but it is fixed to either a totally flat 27’’ HP monitor or the same on a 15’’ laptop both with matt surfaces. In fact it is exceptionally strong and well made as a mount. I have mounted the light directly above my high res pop up camera on the PC monitor and keep it plugged into a USB port to power it from there. It works perfectly, is silent (none of that slight buzzing you can sometimes get from LEDs), it didn’t come with a bag were I to transport it and for the cables but I can live with that. I have mounted it ‘landscape’ but there is a screw hole at the ‘portrait’ end to mount it that way too and it would fit easily onto a Gorilla Pod for example if you wanted to use it for close up photography of things. It only weights 80gms so very minimalist in that regard.For the build quality, functionality and ease of use generally I think it’s well worth the money. If you want to light a studio then this obviously isn’t the thing to use but for video conferencing it’s great and the box even says it’s for that purpose.

Nice little light but felt due to position it reflected on my glasses so couldn't use it.Felt it woukd be good as a back up light but didnt give enough light through the diffuser. When i removed tge diffuser it felt a bit dazzling.Might be my use as it does have facility to soften and change brightness.

Overall a terrific light that if used in conjunction with an HD webcam gives fantastic lighting at night while video conferencing. However, as other reviews have suggested, the suction attachment is not very good and the light keeps falling off (MacBook Pro). It is better if you wet the suction cup but that leaves unsightly marks all over the computer casing. I bought a selfi-stick that doubles as a tripod for ten pounds and that has corrected the problem. It also gives me greater flexibility with where I position the light so that it is not glaring directly into my eyes.

This is a very handy product. It works well in poorly lit areas, giving supplementary lighting a source. The battery is very good and lasts for hours, providing it is not set to maximum illumination, which in most lighting circumstances is unnecessary. If this is your sole source of light I am not sure this is the one for you. All in all a reasonable price for a very good product

I wanted to invest in a decent light for video meetings and was disappointed at the performance of this product given the high RSP. I was keen to have a light with a built in battery & that could also by powered via usb to enable it to last a day of meetings. The brightness was no better than a £12 equivalent light I was previously using and within less than a week of use the battery stopped holding any charge and the light wouldn’t even turn on when powered via usb. Really disappointing. Returning and back on the hunt for a decent good quality light!

I chose this over a ring light as I wanted more flexible positioning and no reflection on my glasses. It is an excellent piece of kit. The sucker pad is fussy about surfaces and struggles to stay on the matte back of a monitor, but my small gorilla pod works a treat and allows for precise angles. The light is easily adjusted and gives a very professional look on camera. Recommended, good value for money.

The fitting is great value for money: to have dim functionality and colour temperature adjustment for under £70 is a real bargain. Plus, it works very well.The controls are a little small, but good quality. The LCD screen is also small but very clear.The light is bright yes, though whether it is sufficient for your setup depends on the ambient light in the space, how far it is from your face etc.The suction cup is super adhesive, though I opted not to use it. Suggest reading the instructions of how to maximise its operation. It even worked on the back of my Surface Pro!You might want to consider getting the clip I'm showing in the my photos, really useful alternative fixing.I tried a few other similar product, but this takes the top spot for quality, I am impressed and happy to recommend it.
