Ez set up... and immediate heat
Bought this for the heater function.Easy to set up. Immediate heat.Very quiet.Great packaging and easy (early) delivery from the seller.Install...I installed myself. Took the weekend (2 days). I'm sure i could have installed in one day if I had all the right tools and the weather was better. But had to make a couple trips to lowes and it snowed all day Saturday. And I didn't want to do exterior wiring in the snow.So i mounted the backing plates for inside units and wired the inside units and prepped them for install, wired my outside unit to the cut off and connected my wire to the cutoff box that I'd feed (on sunday) into the wall to the breaker. So Sunday, I made my holes to feed my lines and wire. Snapped the inside units to the mounts. And connected everything to the outside unit. Attached the disconnect (cut off) box to the exterior wall by the outside unit, and finally ran my wire to my breaker.Bleed lines (vacuum). Opened valves for coolant. And that's it.Click remote up to 70 degrees and it's running quiet and smooth.Mounted mine on block, but wall mounted came with it, and I may move it to that mount, not sure yet.All i have left is prettying up the lines outside with some covers. But that can wait for next weekend lol.Update... a very cold cold front came through PA. Saw temperatures at negative double digits (rare for this area). The heater functioned at those temps... but was only putting out about 60 degrees of heat. The heater function did keep the space warm and toasty at a decent 72 degrees at temps of about 9 degrees and up.So I'd say for the price and for what it is, it's great. This is a drafty old house and I'm still working at sealing up all the drafts. So I'm pretty impressed with the heater performance.Just note.. if you live in an area where temps go down below zero through winter... and you want the space these are heating to be very warm... you may want to look at a different unit. Then again... this is the main heat source in my addition. And between this and a small fireplace style space heater... I was comfortable at temps including 10 bellow zero and windchills of about 14/15 bellow.

From a techs pov
I’ve been in the hvac industry almost 30 years now. I can say with multiple resources other than myself… these are worth every penny. I’ve seen them last better than a decade in the harshest of conditions. I know what to expect when it comes to extreme winter conditions. So… you’ll need a back up heater in -0° if you’re looking for 70° but all in all for what it does the other 9/10 months it meets all expectations. And even in the negative temps it still performs at the top of its class.

Don't hesitate, I was very pleasantly surprised
If you are not familiar with Klimaire, you might think it's an off-brand, but the quality and customer support from HeatAndCool are great and that means you are getting tremendous value when you purchase it. I purchased a two-head unit that is recommended you get professionally installed (which I was happy to do if I could). I live in Michigan and was having a difficult time finding an HVAC company to put it in, mostly because they wanted to sell me their models at a ridiculously high marked-up price.I did get a few proposals, but I got a lot of put of dates. While I was waiting I watched a lot of YouTube videos and decided that I could do this myself. The support from HEATANDCOOL was great. I was having trouble finding the right size parts locally and couldn't get the right type of answers I needed from the local hardware and big box retail stores. I decided I was tired of the wasted trips to the stores and figured I might as well go back to the company that sold it to me in the first place. I don't know why I didn't start there in the first place. I think it was the conversations with the local HVAC companies that convinced me earlier I wouldn't have support because I bought it through Amazon. They are wrong. I'm sure not all of the suppliers on Amazon are supportive of their customers. That's why it's important to read the reviews. I just finished installing my Mini-Split myself. I bought it in 2022 and didn't put it in till 2023. The support I received from HeatAndCool was extremely helpful and graciously given just as I would have hoped for if this was a recent purchase. I have been running the system (and yes in Michigan we get hot and humid summers) and it is running as I would expect. It cools quickly and runs quietly. I did need to learn to vacuum test the lines myself, but because the line sets were available in different lengths, I didn't need to "flair" the lines. I live in a condo complex and they required I mount it 15 feet off the ground. That was a different challenge but easily solved with a video on YouTube. Now that I'm enjoying the benefits, I look back with my only regret, not installing it myself sooner. It has saved me thousands of dollars!
