Terramar Adult Thermasilk Glove Liner

I got these (and Terramar's sock liners) for a trip to NYC. I knew the gloves I already owned wouldn't be warm enough, but I didn't want to buy heavy gloves that I would never wear again. I bought these to wear under my gloves, and my fingers and hands never once got cold (as opposed to my mom, who didn't have glove liners, and whose hands got cold despite wearing warmer gloves than I was). They're very thin and lightweight; you don't really know you're even wearing them. But they did their job perfectly. Reminder: These are *not* gloves. They are meant to be worn under a pair of gloves. There is no touchscreen functionality. The liners alone will not keep your hands warm.

Use these under my insulated motorcycle gloves. Adds an about 30 extra minutes till my hand start turning into meat popsicles. Highly recommend.

Nicely made silk gloves. The seams and cuffs were well done. The silk was an effective line to leather gloves and were used when operating a motorcycle. I do have to warn about touching Velcro with these liners. Don't do it. I was very surprised to see that the silk has a great affinity to Velcro. You really have to tug to separate them and the silk gets partially shredded.

I got these to wear under my hockey gloves. Our new rink is usually somewhere in the low 20s or lower (or at least feels that way!) and my fingers have been so cold. I've played twice wearing these and I am happy to report they help a ton and my fingers are no longer in fear of being frostbitten. The gloves are very thin, comfortable, and do not hinder my touch/feel of the stick/puck in anyway.

I am sorry if I am too blunt, but this product does not perform as it is described. Period. 1) it is too thin and ddlicate. 2) as a consecuence, it just won't last more than a few hours (perhaps one day, seriously). 3) because it is so thin, it will not protect you and it is not water resistance. 4) Obvious conclussion: It is pathetically, pitifully and outregeously over priced. The inserver can perform some kind of delicate function, but is is laughable as described. Experience: After I put it on for the very first time and casually removed my glove, I was surprice and disgusted to see thdme fabric sticking out and literally undone.... it is not resistance to anything. Probably a grand mother or fragile elderly person can use it when she / ge goes to bed to warm a bit the hands... this is a dignify use... but for the price, probable she can stick with a real light glove. But please, do not sell this as an active pirce or garment to pfitect you and warm your gands under anything.... I partly purchased this becsuse of itgrrs feedback and it is a head scratcher... I pergaps gave too rought hsnds ir there is something wring with the feedback. And keep in mind: I wanted something like this as a liner for a motorcycle glove (which are expensive - one fir summer and ine fir winter). I purchased these inserters for the claim that it can be used as a liner for a motorcycle glove....or at least this show up when I searched.... never had the opportunity to use it for that purpose because it came undone with just a use in my backyard after removing the main glove... there was no work involved, no velcro, just walking around as I like to do....

Made my perforated summer motorcycle gloves warm enough for winter, with no handlebar covers or heaters and at temps to mid 40s. These fit as expected. They slip around a bit but I can get them tight enough for good control. After a few days the "glove within a glove" feeling ceased to be an issue. I can still cinch the outer gloves will with these. These have a cuff which goes farther up my wrist that the outer gloves, which is nice in winter. These dry much faster than the outer leather gloves. I bought winter gloves anyway for temps under 45 degrees. 3 years later: They lasted three years and then I lost one. The white color is less easy to lose. I got thicker gloves with gauntlet cuffs a year ago and these work fine under them, too. The cuff of the silk liner goes under my jacket sleeve while the cuff of the outer glove goes over the jacket sleeve. it works well. It is true that these liners are attracted to velcro (which I have one the outer gloves) and velcro makes them pill a bit, but no one sees the liners but me, so they don't need to be beautiful. Easy to wash. The way the seam is made does not bother me at all. I have recommended them to other riders who complain of cold hands.

I like silk products for warmth. I use them exclusively as long underwear for skiing and outdoor activities. I've used Terramar products before with great success, so did not hesitate to order these gloves.I get cold hands easily and wanted something lightweight that I could wear indoors when needed. Overall these are well made, perhaps "too well made". They have an elastic knit cuff, roughly 2" long that has a very aggressive elastic; so much so that it cut the circulation off to my hands. And, FYI as a rule, I don't like knit cuffs on my outdoor gloves either, usually because they interfere with the fit of jacket cuffs. I took a chance and cut the cuffs off of these glove liners. And while not as neat looking as they came new in the package, they are MUCH warmer without the knit cuffs. I know I'll get some fraying at the ends, but so what? They'll be perfect as actual liners in my Marmot winter ski gloves when next ski season comes around. I would urge Terramar to rethink the design of the finished ends of their gloves. While others might think the cuff is fine, I'm not in that camp. I gave it a three star because of the cuff, but otherwise a 4 or 5 stars would be appropriate.

I used these paired with leather gloves on an elk hunt recently and they did pretty good at 10F at keeping my hands from freezing, although they were noticeably cold - but not so much that flexing my hands didn't warm them back up. Once the temps got into the 20's I actually removed the leather gloves and wore these by themselves and my hands didn't get a chill at all. I think they'd work better under the leather if they (the leather) weren't as tight as they were, if I'd had a size larger in the leather I think my hands would have been warmer. Yes, like other posters have stated they do stain and snag easily, I wouldn't expect them not to. If you can't stand knowing that they're not going to remain pristine white then you should buy the black ones. 1/3/2016 Update: So I've been using these for running and have to say that these are impressive! Most recently I was in Littleton, Colorado and had several morning runs where the temps were anywhere from 6-14 degrees. I started out with my Manzella Men's Silkweight Windstopper Ultra Touch Gloves, Large, Black and after 3 miles or so had to take the outer gloves off - finishing as many as 5 more miles at an average of 10 degrees with just these on. Of course some users might have a different experience but for me, these are incredibly nice for running and being able to regulate body temp. As I said in my initial review, if you're worried about them not being as white as the driven snow then you should by the black ones. Oh yeah, an added benefit is that they are super soft for wiping your nose on cold runs.
