I used this to hang a heavy Ikea headboard. They worked great once I figured them out. I drilled a small pilot hole in the drywall and then 'screwed' these in. Then I screwed the screw all the way in and then pulled it back to where I needed it. This activated the butterfly mechanism on the back. It seems very sturdy. The hole in the drywall is large but not visible and easily patched it I ever want to take it down. Save your paint colors!

I was a little confused at first as to how to install these. It's not complicated, but was something new to me. As another reviewer suggested, read and follow the instructions step by step. I have used these to hang two tall tubular cat wall scratchers for an extremely rambunctious 7 month old kitten. She may not weigh alot but the way she climbs and hangs and shifts around on these she's putting alot of pressure on them. Yes, one of the two screws required to install each section of the scratchers is screwed into a stud. However there is no difference in the two sides. If I didn't know which was in the stud or which one was using the anchor, I wouldn't know. Both are very secure. The second scratcher I purchased had the platform/perch on it and the kitten was not too sure about using it. It's also higher up. She tugs and bounces on that like crazy now. It is so secure that I think my huge male cat could climb also, but he doesn't bc he's afraid of heights. Help us all 🤦‍♀️ I only use these now. No other type of toggles. Another bonus is you can remove them without tearing up your wall. Yes, there would be the installation hole to patch, but your drywall doesn't get torn up. (I have heard that old drywall can become brittle so if that's your wall idk how it would be). I have such confidence in these that I am planning on adding more cat wall stuff!

Very solid. Installation was pretty easy. One of them stripped - I assume the screw stripped through the thin metal of the toggle - it just spins and spins. Also, getting them started can be a little hard - I recommend screwing the screw into the toggle a few times before installing to establish threads in the toggle. Other then the stripped one, they all seem to hold really well. I'm using them to hold hooks with heavy backpacks on the hooks (2 anchors per hook).

Just a very dependable product that does a great job

It's a good product and feels very solid when installed properly. Using these to anchor a really tall ikea cube storage unit and the second one i used failed to deploy the toggle (see image) and i did not check before finishing the entire process of attaching the furniture. When doing a pull test on the furniture this one pulled out. When trying to put the screw into the 3rd one, it fell through the hole into the wall. The 4th one worked by putting the toggle anchor through the ikea mount then into the wall, making the anchor deploy and basically sandwiching the drywall between the toggle and the ikea mount plate instead of the mount plate being sandwiched between the anchor and screw head) (i forgot to take a pic of this and tbh dont feel like taking it back apart for one)(basically i damaged the wall cuz i didnt verify the toggle deployment). Feels as solid as the other side that worked properly.

Only two of these worked out of the whole box. The screw hole inside each unit is not large enough for the included screws. I messaged the seller and received no response. The two that did work were easy to install, and I had to carefully drill a bigger hole through the metal in order to use two more.

There is no perfect way for securing things to drywall. This works well UNLESS there is insulation behind the wall or you are close to a stud. If that happens you better get some spackle and paint. You will have a hole.
