It is a decent pump. The reason I only give it 4 stars is because it's a replacement for the exact same pump I first purchase. What I found is you have to disassemble it take the bottom plate off and reseal it with silicone so water can't Ingress into the motor area. The factory sealed just doesn't seem to cut it in the long run. So like with a lot of these pumps as soon as you get them you have to disassemble them in kind of rebuild them get them the last longer.

We boat owners know maintenance time almost equals water time, so when I installed this pump lightning fast, you could not wipe the smile off my face! Good instructions and a little know-how—Wow done. Lots of pumping power and not much current draw

Would not by this again the pump failed almost immediately after installation water leaked in through the wiring port and flooded the interior of the “ sealed” pump. No response from the manufacturer

UPDATE: As suspected it was seal failure. As another person had mentioned in their review you will need to dissemble the pump and apply marine silicone in order to get a proper seal.Orginal: Pump failed after 1 month of use. Haven't taken it apart but suspect seal failure.

I use this for a battery back up sump pump. It almost equals my pedestal electric pump.
