SPICY - I didn’t read the description properly
I don’t eat spicy food but according to my mum who ate it its not bad. She finished the whole box of 6 in one go. It has many spice and vegetable mince mixed well to produce a unique taste. As we only ever ate those traditional Chinese buns, this is something very different

I had never had a bao bun before.
I am reasonably competent at making vegetarian Indian, Chinese and Italian food, so have recently started a new exploration of Japanese dishes: sushi, ramen etc. So I thought I would try some readymade bao buns to see if I like them, before trying to make some of my own. I steamed them as per the instruction on the pack and they were delicious. The dumpling part has a curious texture, a bit like very soft marshmallow and the filling was interesting. I am not entirely sure how they should be eaten, but I dipped them in soy sauce and a little wasabi paste, those knowledgeable about Japanese food are probably recoiling in horror, but it worked for me :-). Next I will research how to make them from scratch and how they should be served!
