Did not work with my weed cutter.

I couldn’t give this trimmer a 5 star because of my location is a sand base and the dust it creates is intolerable.

Had to buy a $ .65 7 or 8 mm left thread nut to make this work. Also used the back plate from the Toro but used the front washer from the kit with one of my own (see photo).This thing will create a massive spark show! Don’t be stupid, wear protective clothing and eye protection. Also don’t use on hot or windy days.

No installation instructions. Mounting components that dont fit anything. I'm a machinists and had to make the mounting hardware. Once on the weed wacker (RedMax), it works well for getting the weeds out of the patio cracks. But, it does leave scratch marks on concrete and pavers.

To call it universal, they need more attachments. The way it comes, it is a poor fit for most weed eaters. Also, better instructions are needed.

The ID of this cutter is very close to the OD of the Makita 36v trimmer spindle. A little sanding to make the cutter hole larger did the trick. The cutter can then centered and balanced enough without vibrating running at full speed. The cutter worked well to remove plants coming out between stones and bricks. I think it worked well enough for me for the money spent.

I picked this provider due to the 2 different sets of hardware that is included, each for a different type of trimmer. One wasn't the right fit but the 2nd one , while not a perfect fit, was made usable with a little gerry-rigging by myself. If I can figure it out you probably will as well. The unit is a VERY durable piece of metal I must say. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
