I received these socks and washed them according to instructions in cold water before first use. The black color seemed to stay fast. The socks are nice and soft and fit well for my size 9 medium male shoe size. The socks stay put on my foot when I walk around the house and do chores outside. Time will tell how long they last after several washings and wearings over the next few years.

I'm giving a 4-star rating because they are tight around the top of the ankle, but other than that, they are comfortable socks! Their thickness is perfect for winter, and they seem like socks that will last a while.
