Excellent quality suit, not flattering, but gets the job done
I bought this for a water aerobics class after the chlorine in the pool destroyed two other (non-Speedo) bathing suits. I normally would never buy a bathing suit without trying it on first, but I was in a bind and needed it the next day (love my Amazon Prime next-day shipping rate!). I normally wear a 14, but ordered one size up because I read other reviews about how these suits are very tight. The color is very pretty, and the suit itself is very heavy duty/thick with the double lining, so I know it's excellent quality. I liked the fact that the back on this comes up higher than most of the other Speedo versions, and I felt comfortable walking to and from the locker room.Pulling it on, it definitely feels much tighter around my lower body than normal suits. I tried hiking the bottom up a bit higher than I think it should sit based on other feedback I saw on here, and that did help a bit, and I noticed swimming around and doing water aerobics for an hour doesn't make the bottom budge at all, which is really great.I'm giving it 3 stars for the top/overall fit. I'm a 38C, but the sides of the bust/underarm area feels like there is extra material (I'm definitely filling the top out), and it doesn't lie flat and tight like it does on the bottom of the suit, so when I'm swimming I feel the need to pull up the top and adjust every so often. I also don't love the fact that the top just has a shelf liner, I would prefer cups or some sort of thicker modesty lining.

Great suit for workouts
I was pleased to find this suit; as a larger-sized but still very able swimmer, age 46 -- the choices are poor for a "real" suit. I do not want a suit built for large old women, no skirts, no padded bras, no cup bras, no wild patterns. I want a suit that looks like I mean business in the pool and that does not gap, flutter, or have "ultra-conservative" leg openings. This suit fits the bill nicely. I do wish there were more color/pattern choices, but that's the reality as the sizes go up. My only comment is that I have this same suit in another solid color, and one more with a more conservative leg opening but the same top and back. This suit is just a bit looser in the bustline -- not enough that I can't use it, but I notice it. And it's not that I'm small-chested or anything..... it's just the cut of this suit is a little bigger. My next order will be for a 16 and I hope it fits in the lower body. Then again, maybe I'm losing weight with all this swimming....... Anyway, great suit, a tad expensive but so far I find it to be worth it.

More of a "relaxed" fit, not good for laps
I really wanted to like this swimsuit. This swimsuit has a softcup bra and is more for a casual swimmer who is playing around in the pool with friends than for a lap swimmer. The fit in this suit is not snug enough in the bust to keep you from flashing the people you're sharing a lane with. It fits very much like theย Speedo Women's Color Blocked Crossback Endurance+ Swimsuit, Black, 12 , it's hard to tell until you're swimming that it'll be too loose. If there's any wiggle room on the side of your chest, it's not gonna work while swimming. If you want to just look cute and sit by the pool, or splash around with a kid, or give swim lessons to little ones, this should work okay (or just about any of the suits that come in sizes like 8, 10, 12, 14, etc). If you're looking for a swimsuit like the one you wore for swim team as a kid that are sized very roughly by bust size, check out theย Speedo Women's Race Xtra Life Lycra Solid Super Pro Swimsuit, New Navy, 38 ย instead (downside being those don't have built-in bras). I have no idea why other reviews say to order up in size. Swimsuits are supposed to be snug, or the water will poof out your suit and show everyone your skin. For reference, I wear a 34H bra, a size 12 in this Illusion Splice suit, and a 38 in regular Speedos.

Good Suit for Moderate Lap Swimming
I swim 3x a week, 20 minutes to an hour each time. This has been my go-to suit for several years now and I am on my 4th or 5th one. I swim exclusively in chlorine pools. On advice from experienced swimmers, I have recently switched to rinsing and air-drying this suit after each use and only machine (delicate) washing it on rare occasion. I'm finding that this makes the elasticity last longer. The suit fits as expected. I'm a 14/16 in daily wear and the 14 swimsuit fits snuggly, as needed for swimming laps. I don't have to tug at the straps ever. The suit is very comfortable for the intended purpose. It does not flatter the breasts nor provide significant support, it mainly squishes them down against your body. I'm find with this because I'm looking for training efficiency, not vanity, but be mindful if you're wanting something attractive and sporty.

Was nervous ordering online, but it was worth it.
I never order suits online so I was unsure I'd have success. But after reading several posts on sizes and measurements, I decided I'd give it a shot. I'm 5'6, 135 and dropping. I'll be down to 125 by the time I'm done losing, and I might go to 118, I'm undecided. I ordered a 12. It fits me tight and just about perfect right now. Even if I drop another 15 pounds, It'll still fit me snug and just right. The weight I have left to lose is simply in my legs and arms, and likely butt. If I'm wrong and the suit floats on me (which I doubt) I'll update this post. This is a pretty tight suit, with a small amount of stretch to it. It's modest in the thigh area and doesn't ride up on the leg real high like modern suits do. The back is a cross-type design, reminds me of lifeguard suits. I ordered the black/white and it has a slimming effect to it. As with any suit, if your thighs are fat it's not going to slim you all over!! Hence, the weight loss goal. This is a high quality suit, made right. Has inner bra for support and some padding so you can't clearly see if the headlights are on.

Great!
Works really well! A bit gappy at the top when I really get going, but I'm bigger than I used to be, so that's probably my own fault. Comfortable and not too flashy. Exactly what I need for doing laps.

I am long in the torso and big chested, but this fitted me well.

Nice price but poor quality and durability
I'm an active swimmer - 3 to 5 days a week. I found this suit fits rather large compared to other suits of the same size. I had to have the straps shortened in order to wear it comfortably. The most unfortunate thing about the suit is now 3 months wearing it, it has completely stretched out, and you can smell the lycra "rotting". It feels 2 sizes too big now and I cannot swim in it. I've gone back to using my 6 year old suit which is in better shape than this one at 3 months.
