This does exactly what it says it does!
This is a magic bullet for diabetes blood sugar medicine! My daily numbers have all dropped down to double digits. My A1C has improved by more than a whole point. It's magnificent! If you're not going to research berberine then you need to know you're not supposed to take it beyond 6 months. So every 6 weeks I take a 1 week break so I'll be able to take over the long haul. (Another option that was suggested is take it Mon-Fri and take the weekends off. I'm going to switch to this option when I get ready to start up again). If you do research it and they tell you it's comparable to metformin. No it's not! Not one bit! First of all metformin never did anything but give me the runs. 2nd is berberine actually works very well with no side effects. Luma Nutrition is the best. 1,200 mg 1 time a day and you're done! I always take it with dinner. (About 20-30 minutes before I eat) It has worked wonders on my numbers! The very first night I took it - I skipped my insulin 70 units - and when I took my 1st reading it was 83! Without the insulin! Before with insulin my numbers were up to 160 or so to 200+! Now I'm not recommending you to skip your insulin if you have a bedtime insulin. I always skip a night or two here and there. sadly to make it last longer. But that's just me and my choice! YOU need to MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE! Be very careful and find out what works best for you. I still took my night insulin if my number was a little high before bed. But I'd only need 40 units at most. But I worked my way down to that little by little. I told my doc everything and showed him my numbers and what I've managed with my insulin and he was really happy and approved me doing it. I did ask for SOME insulin just incase I needed it. When I say a little high before bed I mean like 120-130 at most. I don't take insulin when my number is in double digits. It's scary and very dangerous to crash while you're asleep. And that happened to me a few times. And you must know I haven't changed 1 single thing in my diet or exercise (which was none) at all. NOTHING! I can only imagine what I could do with a couple of tweaks. I'll get there when I'm ready cuz those are 2 new impacts on blood sugar and something else I'd need to work out. Y'all see what I'm saying? This is the real deal tho! Just be careful with it. Good luck everybody! Stay safe!

Good Choice
I find the 1200 mg is a good dose for me. I have to work on my A1C and glucose levels. I believe it helps suppress my appetite and aids in my overall digestion. It is a large capsule.

Works for me
For me it works. Curbs appetite enough that cutting back on food consumption is easier. Negative side is that for a couple hours after I take it there is slight nausea, but it wears off. I have been able to eat at least a third less and not feel hunger.

Major side effects
I bought this supplement for the overall health benefits that have been claimed— blood glucose regulation, insulin resistance, improve cholesterol levels, & wanted to see if it would aid in getting rid of some stubborn weight. Overall, I’m a pretty healthy female, 5’5” 130lbs, clean diet, active 4-5 days a week, not taking any other medications that would interfere. I took it for about a week or two with no problems, I was taking it twice a day before breakfast & dinner. One night, I forgot to take it in the morning so I took two before dinner instead, which was not advised against on the label. I woke up later that night as sick as can be for about 2 hours. I felt fine the next morning & deemed it something I ate. I went a couple days without taking the supplement & all was fine. The next two times I took it (only one pill before a meal), the same reaction happened to me. Onset about an hour-two after taking it. Nonstop vomiting for about an hour followed by intestinal cramps. I’ve stopped taking it since, as I’m pretty certain this was the cause. There had been no other dietary changes or anything like that.Obviously, every body reacts differently but wanted to share my experience. I’m pretty attuned to my body & honestly just perplexed why I had this reaction. All my research on this product checked out beforehand & there were tons of good reviews, as well. Was bummed I wasn’t able to continue it!
