The sound on all three of these CD's sounds akin to the master tape, which the original recordings were made on in the 1970's, has deteriorated that much that the sound quality on these CD's is poor ether that or someone forgot how to set the tape heads up correctly on the master playback machine prior to digitising these recordings. Great tunes crap copies.

This a great collection of hits through the career of The Three Degrees. Great sound and a very good selection from these great trio.If you like The Three Degrees, this is what you need. Many hits for a very good price..This cd arrive before date scheduled and very well packed.

The Three Degrees Gold - 3 disc collection.A good collection superb hits from 1973 to 1979 by the Gold series. Simply packaged with super high quality audio, the sound really is fresh and crystal clear.This set is a great price and worth every penny regardless of a few omissions:years 1965-1972 & 1980-2010 have been overlooked, most noticeably ‘The Heaven I Need’ from the 80’s, a personal favourite of mine.The tri-fold sleeve lists the track years and running times but does not state which versions are used on discs 1 & 2. On disc 2 I believe the majority are 7” versions with tracks 12-14 being album versions.The album version of ‘Set Me Free’ is sadly omitted but the slightly over remixed long version is on disc 3.The Runner (Extra Long Version) on disc 3 is a studio demo, a slight typo but the inclusion of the demo really highlights the raw vocal talents of these ladies as do the live tracks which I think we’re were recorded at Baileys, Leicester, UK 1975, the source is not listed on the sleeve.For me, Disc 2 with the Giorgio Moroder recordings, the fantastic ‘The Golden Lady’ OST song and two B-sides ‘Hot Summer Night’ & ‘Out Of Love Again’ makes this an essential purchase.Although great, the Live tracks following the 12” versions seem out of place, the inclusion the longer mix of ‘Body Check’ and any other 12” versions may have been a better choice, especially from the 80’s era as they can be hard to find on CD.Great band, fantastic records, beautifully mastered, but only 4 stars for incorrect and missing information.

This collection is fantastic all the groups uk hits also great album tracks which show they had great diversity then of course they collaborated with the great Giorgio Moroder who produced Donna Summer and this album includes all the hits the girls had with him .Disc three is. Gem including extended mixes of the Giorgio Moroder era and 3 live tracks all in crystal clear remastering which I have to add is amazing on all the Crimson released gold albums .

I've got quite a few of the 'Gold' series, and whilst very basic in terms of packaging and information, there's no arguing they're all great value for money.This is a superb collection of The Three Degrees best, with the added bonus of 12" mixes on disc 3, and as with the rest of the series, the sound quality is crisp and clear.Recommended without hesitation.

This cd set is a must.in these times it took me away from the present to a magical time .a brilliant cd full of hits and some extended versions too.cant wait for the vinyl version if indeed there's going to be one.love it
