My husband had this on his wish list, and he LOVES it. Uses it all the time with the bags from the same seller. Great example of use is when we buy bangers or longaniza from specialty stores - he thaws them a little to separate them, then puts them into a baggie with space between, uses the suction to remove the air, and then freezes. When we want just two bangers or a longaniza (great for flavor in a pot of rice), it's easy to get them out, do the suction again, and pop the package back in the freezer. No wasting, everything stays good and frozen.

Bought the vacuum & a couple of containers… Will definitely be buying more! Love them!

Love this whole set up

This is so really to use. My kids like do it! I am using with the glass containers. Foods go longer than usual.

This sealer works just fine on their containers, and I'm pleased, overall. However, I have sent them a question regarding the promise they make to send a free wine bottle sealer once the product is registered, and they don't come through. They promise the sealer on their printed documentation, but when registering I saw something about getting some knives which I don't need. I wrote to ask them about the wine bottle sealer twice now and I get the automated responses that they've received my email and will get to me, and so far, over the last few weeks, nothing. So don't expect any customer service if you need it.

I originally purchased the competition (original home system for food saving), but was not compatible with the bags, so I returned it and purchased this. Glad I did.I use it every day multiple times throughout the day. Even with the multiple uses throughout the day, every day, all week long, the unit stays charged for over a week.My husband loves it too, he reseals everything because he sees the benefit. Grapes are fresh all week, bread is frozen without getting frost bitten, chocolate chip cookie dough stays fresh for weeks, pancakes freeze well and stay fresh using the freezer bags. If you cannot tell, we love it!The whole system cost a lot initially, but keep in mind, you are saving on food if you have leftovers or buy in bulk. I use the canning jars for sauce and fruit and the adaptor on Amazon.

I am outside my 30 day return and Amazon is the CSR for Zwilling. Another adult in our household used the pump with a bag and I suspect they might have sucked some liquid into the pump. The liquid came from the food itself there was no additional liquid in the bag.I took the rubber seal off, cleaned it, got a dry cotton swab, set the pump in my dish drain board to for an hour or so to hopefully let whatever liquid got in to drain before I carefully attempted to clean around where the seal attaches. It now makes a half-hearted sort of pump sound and takes at least 10x as long to extract air. I assume something is clogged that I cannot access.Totally user error; however, I have two other vacuum sealers that have never had this problem. I wish they made the marinating containers that Zwilling does that I can no longer use because the Zwilling containers and bags ONLY work with the Zwilling pump.It's also worth noting that this pump cannot be used with any other vacuum bag whereas the other two can be used with any bag EXCEPT for Zwilling bags. At the same time the other two do not have a container for marinating with a substantial amount of liquid. That single function isn't enough to make me want to buy a replacement pump. Guess I'm freeing up some cupboard space.Live and learn.

This is so much easier to use than Foodsaver that a child could do it! Works like a charm & I am probably going to begin purchasing the glass containers next.
